Have you tried stuff like Parzival? Not quite the same thing, but the first association I had.

This week has been "every day listen near-exclusively to a different Kontrust song because a lot of them are just that good".
Yesterday's and today's flavor after listening to Explositive is definitely this (Cosmic Girls). Gives off a perfect >90s sci-fi cartoon show and it's catchy as hell.

(Other noteworthy album mentions: Dance, Just Propaganda and Vienna.)

I was letting SoundCloud run some chiptunes on autoplay while programming when this little gem came up:

Yoann Turpin — Adventure Time !

I've listened to several dozen songs today but this one really stood out to me. It's really amazing how well it mixes natural-sounding instruments and waveforms.

I want some epic instrumental (as opposed to sounding electronic. I have nothing against them, except the only thing I've listened to in the past month or so has been electronic) stuffs.

Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tr8kKkFQYVI
Have a listen to this, then.

Google "touhou orchestral" and you might find something, though I'm not game to make judgements about individual pieces. Been listening to a lot of touhou metal recently ... Touhou is a rich seam of instrumental pieces in all music genres (though there are a lot of vocal tracks + many tracks with both vocal and instrumental variants).

Well, I'll take a punt and provide some versions of orchestral touhou tracks:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0f1eLReRHGI
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_n7F9vagMA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iz_hdd4Qlno

You can also find orchestral arranges of entire touhou games, for longer pieces:
Touhou 6: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2z6zaagijiI
Touhou 7: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-rovGs6QaE
Touhou 8: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFfaiT0twSs

But these are whole sets by the same person (they're fan music, not the original soundtracks). You could probably pick and choose touhou tracks from many authors and get a full set of these tracks that's way more awesome.

Why not Epic Score?
Hmm, I listened to a little on Epic Score. I had thought maybe the touhou tracks sound a little too compute-generated (well not everyone has a full orchestra to record with), but overall I think they sound more like natural sound than the Epic Score stuff seems to.

The Epic Score stuff is pretty variable. Some of it is much more electronic, some of it is less so. But yeah, it's not necessarily the best.

Partly sharing music but mostly satisfying my curiosity. This is the Commodore 64 theme for "Sanxion" by Rob Hubbard with an accompanying oscilloscope. At around 5:35 a different, classical sounding, piece begins. Anyone know the name of the piece?
Ah, goddammit. It's one of those absurdly common, stock pieces. I just can't remember the actual composer. Now I need to know too.

EDIT: It's Dance of the Knights by Prokofiev.

Thanks muchly. I'd certainly heard it before but I wouldn't know where, and not knowing the name was being irritating.
