Ohey, Merzbow. I had forgotten that name.

Though, uh. Warning? Is noise music. So. Probably not to very many people's tastes. But I kinda' like it.

Merzbow is great. Well the records I have, I'm not rich enough to buy the entire catalogue.

Best TF2 song ever

Is it weird that I like this more than the real song?

I didn't expect to, but I liked this. A really quite lovely melody.

My contribution is Alestorm. They're a pirate metal group. 'Nuff said

I disliked Alestrom the moment I heard them first. The singer, in particular, I didn't like.

Since then they've come across a few times in playlists. I believe they're an acquired taste, as I can now like listening to them. They're still far from my favourite, though.

Try listening to their songs without the vocals. Their singing is an acquired taste, simply because it's not that great. However, it doesn't have to be. The actual instrumental music is bloody brilliant, and that's what they focus on.
Think of their voices as an accompaniment to the soundtrack, and you're square. To be honest, I find it refreshing to listen to a band where the lead singer isn't the main focus. So many modern rely too much on a "front man", on a single decent voice.

Oh, undoubtedly. It's like Amon Amarth. The instrument usage? Great! I love it. Singing? Not in a million years.

But I never had a problem with the instrumental music.

I think it might also be a part of the whole drunken pirates theme thing they have going on.

Try Gloryhammer, some of the same guys from Alestorm, different theme, music is just as awesome and the vocals are pretty damn nice too.

Plus the lyrics are just as stupidly fun as they are in most of Alestorms songs.
