Periphery - Mile Zero (Dr. Bishop Remix)

A djent/progressive metal/metal core song remixed into a hella chill fusion of "Electro, Dubstep and Dance Rock", in the creator's words. I love the internet, it's got some amazing creations.

FKA Twigs - Ultraviolet

Soulful pop with breathy, light vocals that actually DOESN'T SOUND LIKE IT HAS BEEN DONE BEFORE. Lots of influences are visible.

Scorpions with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra - Rock You Like a Hurricane

Listen to this song in its entirety. Then rip open your shirt, let your peroxide-blonde locks flow free, and stride forth to save the world, you radiant golden god of the 80s.

FUCK YES. (Should note here that our NHL club, the Carolina Hurricanes, uses this song as their theme music. I would die and go to Hard Rock Heaven if they used this version for a playoff game some day.)

I've been totally in love with the British electro-swing/swing jazz revival.

This is awesome. It helps that strings and overdriven guitar is my favourite instrument (sound?) pair.

On a more depressing note, this is as positive as John Ellis gets (post tree63 breakup).

I am Waiting For You Last Summer's entire album "In Eternal Lines" is fan-tucking-fastic.

I'd recommend Mists Roll Away, Retreat, or Lights Go Out if you don't have time to listen to a full album.

You know, when I read that title, I expected something extremely brutal in the spirit of 40K. I got a jaunty little ballad instead.

The Dreadnoughts are my favourite band, though country is my favourite genre. Have some more:

And this is one of my favourite ones by them...

And have a more well known, and slightly related, one:
