I'd also argue that the best thing about HR is the music, so damn awesome.

And speaking of awesome: Koi No Mega Lover

I have no idea why I can't stop listening to these guys, found them two days ago and I am toroughly hooked. I think it's a combination of their agression and raw energy, pretty much every single of their songs urges you to jump and scream and mosh and whatnot, it's pretty rare to get that sort of energy on a recording, I can only imagine how energetic their live shows are :D

Edit:

Ok, I've heard this band live the other they, they have some nice stuff, mostly a wierd combination of punk/ruck and folk. In any case they have this, and I need to know where does the indian singing towards the end come from. It's on the tip of my tongue but I just can't recall the name of the original song/piece :C

Soft Cell has managed to combine my love of 80s synthpop with my love of covers of the Supremes.

Also I'm apparently rapidly going through music genres and finding things I like. Last month was funk; this month is new wave synthpop. Next month could be country music! Who knows? I hope it's not country music though.

Just played some Kelly Slater Pro Surfer, and remembered it had a pretty kickass soundtrack. Here are some of the tunes I liked so far (and found. Some are apparently a challenge to find):
Grey Boy        Mastered the Art
Jack Johnson        Middle Man
Funky Lowlives        Notabossa
Shur I Can        Advance
Ben Harper        Faded
Jeremy Kay        Back to You
Rae and Christian    Ready to Roll
Rae and Christian with Jungle Bros.    Play On

I can't wait for the weather to improve more consistently (warmer water while at it). This music makes me want to go surfing again.

Not quite country, but similar. I can't get enough of their stuff lately.

Listening to the soundtrack from the (canceled) game Heaven Variant.
It's very good.

Also, anyone recognise the tune of this song (from the same soundtrack?)  It sounds a lot like a something I have heard before, especially at the beginning when the piano comes in, but I can't place it.

Derail in the Terrified thread started me listening to hip-hoppity type stuff again. So for anyone who enjoys angry radical social-political rap,

Immortal Technique:
Harlem Streets
Civil War(third verse is best verse, it's Brother Ali)
Technique is... socially conscious in the same way that the Sea Shepherds kinda object to whaling. He's also quite the conspiracy theorist, which might just be an unavoidable side effect. Take with a grain of salt.

Or something completely different - bearded philosophical Britishers!
