Cradle of Filth is horrible.
It turns nice young businessmen into goths overnight.
Then you get locked in a server room.
:P +5 points for awesome reference.

HAPPY SONG TIME!

It's been ages since I've listened to this band. It has accordions, and ukuleles.

And this was just thrown out today, some pretty cheerful glitchhop.

From one of the strangest break-up albums ever, by prog-lord Peter Hammill.
Admittedly his voice isn't for everyone, but it sounds awesome and the lyrics are great.

Jimmy Page was an excellent guitarist.

Jimmy Page - White Summer/Black Mountainside

I think the most impressive thing is that he uses a pick to play that, since both the originals were fingerpicked. Page must have been a god of sweep picking.

Säkkijärven polkka.

Two reasons why this song is interesting:

1. It's been adapted into several dancing games under the title Hardcore of the North
2. It was used for military purposes during the Second World War

So i kinda had this song on my brain the whole day.
I really love Meshuggah, i dont care if you whine about it not being your anime trance wubwub stuff wich is so fucking popular today, but dont say they are talentless, as they know more about music than any stupid girl with some cheap accoustic guitar and crappy webcam mic and way too much make up, or some kid with FLstudio made some day. Technicality is not a matter of taste, you cant call Miley Cyrus or Justin Bieber technical, they only focus on yelling baby to some Cubase 4 default drumloop with some way too generic 4 chord melody in the background. Some people call Meshuggah mindless hammering on instruments, but polyrythms and jazz scales are not mindless hammering. Only the deaf untrained ear of a pop guy would hear it as mindless hammering. I love Meshuggah, as they are my source of inspiration when composing, they got me past 3-4 standard chord compositions into an awesome post human adventure of discords and stacatto(or however that is spelled). And if you dont like Meshuggah i am fine with it, but it enrages me that some people think their own music of preference is superior in technicality, experience and overall quality, since most time its just generic stuff. 4/4 rythms and basic 4 chord harmony (C, F, E#, D like that.) and "oh i love you because your like a pickle, pickle, pickle pickle, pick pick pick-lele la lu leeeee" is not technical. Some music in that style is ok, but 99% of music is nothing more than the same over and over again. Did you know that most songs can be played and sung in the melody and rythm of a childrens song?
