music is good

It's a little like going home at 10 minutes to 1AM, riding the empty metro as the entrances are closing. The same sense of fuzzy, sleepy hollowness and desolation.
The stations here are palaces, and during the day, they're always full. Seeing them empty and silent is almost like being in a cathedral long after the congregation has left.

It's always these hollow places that make me wish I hadn't forgotten my camera again.

I especially liked Lorn - Acid Rain too.  A friend of mine shared it, when he was GMing a Demons the Possessed game.  Only tangentially related.  He shared a lot of good music while he did that.

Captain Murphy, mostly (that's the entire album, the origin story isn't music really).  Relevant, too, he literally made Captain Murphy our main quest giver.  We were probably supposed to fight him, heh.  Jeez that was a weird time, scary and fun.  I'd roleplayed edgy characters, being selfishly bad at times, but this campaign was the first time I went full-out sociopath.  Being a cultist with no goal except power.

But not to have it, to channel it.  And thus, by far, my favorite track from that time:  https://youtu.be/kfoJUeyMsOE

This is what I meant about music summoning memories, heh.
And when I eventually host a NWoD campaign of my own, it'll probably be this.  And every session I'll remember the third dang awoo.

Edit:  Going back to Lorn - Acid Rain, it was specifically when my character kinda truckbombed a diner we happened to be inside to stun some vampires.  GM thought of that music video.  I thought of Powerwolf

I personally already loved that one.  It's like Initial D but metal instead of inane!

Edit: And maybe it's a little close to home, since I was a competitive bicycle racer in high school and early college.  Until I decided I'd rather not die that way.  Someone I hated took a bad spill...
