The definitive Nazi theme is Deutschland über Alles, which was the German national anthem while they were in power.
Not what had in mind at all. It doesn't sound like "Oh shit the Nazis!" It's just some anthem, and not a particularly good one either like the Russians.

I know, but you asked for the definitive Nazi theme. :P What could be more definitive than their actual theme?

Some insanely gosh-darn boogilicious sweet-ass old-school grooves from Arxland.

Holyyyyyy shit. I expected this to be at least decent, but it is truly amazing. Rather different from the norm for that channel's uploads, too.

What might be considered the "definitive Nazi theme" and the "definitive Communist theme"? Imperial March does not count for the former.
If you want to take the piss from neonazis, they seem to enjoy trying to steal the GLORY OF ROME.

What might be considered the "definitive Nazi theme" and the "definitive Communist theme"? Imperial March does not count for the former.

as a german i'd say this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o34K_Z3bu74

Basically an SA/SS song going on about the SA marching through the streets, shooting/executing Communists, calling for the raising of swastika and hitler flags and so on and so forth.

more general if you want something more fascist/militarist than specifically nazi associated, i always found the Killzone soundtrack hit the target the best:

Helghan March
if you don't mind some speeches inbetween then this:
Helghast Vengeance
Killzone 1 Intro
Killzone 2 Intro

As for the ultimate Communist song:

Sacred War
From a Russian War Movie and about ten times more awesome than the above but sadly in horrible quality

EDIT: have to mention that the first song is in very very bad taste everywhere in Germany...i'm not sure but i think its also forbidden to play it in public or sing it.

Who likes dad music??  I DO
Paul Simon - The Boy In The Bubble (these are the days of miracle and wonder)
The Nails - 88 lines about 44 women (NSFW, somewhat)
Ian Dury and the Blockheards - Billiericay Dicker (DEF NSFW) (I could have sworn this was Captain Beefheart or the Nails??)
Meat Loaf - Bat Out of Hell (dammit I confused this with Captain Beefheart too, though it makes more sense here)
Okay, looking up Captain Beefheart...  His stuff is pretty generally great, and definitely up my dad's alley, I just don't remember any singles from it is all.
And now to pick a Niel Young song...  Fuck, which one??  I could go with Piece of Crap, but what I remember is the Greendale album.  Best track is probably Sun Green.  Really radicalized me, growing up.

Gaia, I love rock operas with plot.  This definitely, also Phish's Gamehenge

I can't see Super Metroid without thinking of Sun Green and Earth Brown.  Funny how that works.  And I can't see Command & Conquer Red Alert without thinking Men Without Hats.
Or think about MUDs without hearing about some obscure welsh band.  So long ago.  I can't... quite remember, even.  Heavy synth, female vocal.  Doesn't really matter.

I don't think dad liked Terrapin Station nearly as much as I did, but that's okay.  I'm just... Grateful :P

Anyway last awoo:  Warren Zevon - Werewolves of London (again) (it's that good)

Feeling sentimental, obviously.  But not posting The Wreck Of The Edmond Fitzgerald again, because even I think I'm weird obsessed with that one.
These're songs dad shared with me, though.  Before he went hard into techno...  Which, actually, was even awesomer.  Hard to recommend though, since the tracks are so long.  DJ Doboy though.  And Tiesto, which I liked even better.

I always liked punk rock a bit, and especially the kind of indie NC State was always playing.  But I also appreciate so much of what he shared.  More than I knew, until I started typing this.

Yeah IDK.  Dad's birthday recently, and I'm turning 31 soon.  Music is like a gateway into the past.
To the extent that I've carried the soundtrack to Lain across like 5 computers but will never play it.  Tied to a time I need to be aware of but not relive.

Here's a really nice mix of super-chill ambient electronica.
Would have been nice to see this "live," preferably lying in a field somewhere.

@Rolan: don't really have time to listen to all that right now, but it's cool that you have that musical connection with your dad!
With mine, I've always liked artists like Jerry Jeff Walker, Jimmy Buffet and suchlike. I'm sure there are others I can't think of currently, too.
Although those long roadtrips tended to become markedly less pleasant when he'd put on something like Leonard Cohen... yikes. :P
