More filk.

The Light-Ship - Julia Ecklar, Catherine Cook, Joey Shoji

Ah yes, that is a good one. You don't happen to know some obscure but good one, do you? I've been looking for some new (to me) filk, but it's hard to find a start.

It almost might be easier for you to name off what you already know, haha. Also whether you're interested in the more fantasy-oriented stuff since there's a boatload of that as well. If you've already thoroughly trawled youtube you're probably in the same boat as me, but I could give a few shots at ones that don't seem to pop up as much. Unfortunately my folks only passed down tapes of old small-time punk bands, no filk there at all. :c

I've looked in youtube, but it all seems to lead to the same stuff. Given that just recently I found a song by a previously unknown artist, and realised they had loads of songs... I'm fairly certain there are plenty I haven't listened to.

I've heard Lesley Fisher, Heather Dale, anything about the Mercedes Lackey universe. There are others I've heard, of course, but I seem to be having a mental block....

Some of those fantasy ones might be nice - most of the ones I've heard are sci-fi ish.

I'd recommend trawling bandcamp a little, or making a soundcloud account and following people you already know. They tend to repost stuff they like. That's how I'm now following over 200 people :P

Ah, excellent! I'd heard a lot of them, but one or two new names, thanks!

Also, Pride of Chanur is great. Gonna have to read that book sometime.

Hey, this is pretty great! Nice to see another admirer of Virt's work. Shantae, Shovel Knight, Crypt of the Necrodancer, Mighty Switch Force, all of his stuff is aweome. I think it helps I'm also really into many of the games he worked on. :D

Of that particular soundtrack, my favorite would have to be Scorching Dunes of Sunburn Island.
