I'm not entirely sure what the blue christ I'm listening to, but it's disturbingly pleasing. And entirely too... cute.

Can only guess the style's a bit more common in... other places. Or something. I've actually heard similar vocals (from parts of it, anyway -- some of the male chorus bits I've heard very close lyrics in... christmas music, I think.) in western stuff, but...

Anyway, time to listen to it for the sixth sequential time. I'll burn out... eventually.

E: Amusing part is that track apparently powered a fleet destroying superweapon. Folks involved were kinda', uh. WTFing. A little.
Japanese definitely. Game music? Anyway here's the same thing with lyrics and translation. Though I prefer my J-stuff with more guitars ;D I think a Japanese speaker did the translation since the start says it was "Comporsed" by a certain someone ;D

BTW - it's Japanese,  it's super-cute, written and composed by 2 girls, and it's about cats. Why am I not surprised? It's always about cats :/

Ar Tonelico Qoga, yeah. Ran into it off a LP. Lyrics are... surprising, actually. Kinda' decent message for something that sounds like... that. And fitting to the scenario it popped up in... somehow.

Lonesome Valley.

It's from O Brother, where art thou?
The movie itself besides being pretty awesome has some seriously nice music, this one being my favourite piece, mostly because of the mood it so beautifully sets at the time it's sung.

AV-RIL LA-VEENE I believe

Well I caught up with this thread fully over the last week, to pad out my mp3 player because i'm 100% sick of almost all the stuff I grew up with, and need some novelty. I want to thank everyone for posting some cool shit. And I want to also thank whoever made a separate metal thread of your own ;D

Now I have a good idea of what is and is not in this thread.

God damn that guitar part! Also, surprisingly good album, better than one might expect.
