Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

MediaMonkey is getting on my nerves lately.  Thinking of trying something new.  Maybe Musicbee?  Just discovered this one.  What does everyone else use?  I'm looking for something that can handle a large music library efficiently, with great interface for tagging & filtering.  Touch-friendly is also a huge plus.

I use foobar2000 which is pretty endlessly customisable while being very lightweight by default. My setup is close to default, but I'm pretty sure you could structure it in a touch-friendly manner.

As for tagging I usually just load any new songs into MusicBrainz Picard which automatically matches them to an online library of albums and tracks, then moves them into your preferred file/folder arrangement.

I struggled for a long time with foobar.  It's technically the best one out there, but it takes serious work to bring all the potential out of it.  There's programming involved if you want to do much any customization more in-depth than shuffling panels around.  If you don't want to get into all that, it's just an extremely basic and feature-lite media player with tons of options cluttering up the interface that most people will never use.

As for tagging, I do that all by hand with Mp3Tag.  It's just easiest to keep everything consistent that way.  There are always things that bother me when I try the automated services.  I'm rather perfectionist when it comes to my music collection.

Djent, man.

It's like, trance mixed with progressive metal...or something.

Djent is best described as 'math metal'. Apparently. Weird genre.

Here's my music for today:

Day of the Baphomets - The Mars Volta

Math rock from a great group!

Tetragrammaton - The Mars Volta

This is my favourite. Sixteen minutes of crazy progressive rock.

Was browsing around greenlight when I happened upon some russian adventure game, the game itself didn't look that interesting but the trailer led me on a quest to find the music used in it. Well, mission fucking accomplished.

If you don't have enough reasons to go watch Wreck-It Ralph, how about that they made a Japanese game theme for one of the fictional games? It's just so authentic.
