Been trawling the web for skilled musicians I haven't heard before.

First up there's Jack Conte... among the kindest, most delightfully strange, and most incredibly hard-rocking one-man-bands I have ever seen. He can sing a ballad, rock out on any instrument, and if the fancy strikes, he'll do them both while in his pajamas. He's got a distinctive video style too, where he takes footage of the whole recording process, and edits it together with no lip-synching and no hidden instruments, so you see everything that goes into the song. You may also know him from his work with Nataly Dawn, as 50% of Pomplamoose.

On an entirely different note, there was this guy, who does real-time mashups using a Launchpad music tracker, drumming his fingers on music samples to create his mixes. His ability to remember what of the hundred odd samples are stored where is mind-blowing in itself, let alone how well he strings them together.

Have some of this, it's quite good and relaxing :>

And to describe the fine lady singing it, she's been a classy version of Gaga some 20-30 years before Gaga became Gaga, she also sports a kick ass voice and some pretty snazzy songs too. The guys performing with her are also awesome, then again, you can't really go wrong with latino music :)

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.
