You strangle The Hobgoblin Wrestler's throat!
The Hobgoblin Wrestler passes out.

(At this point every attack is very easy and completely square so...)
You slash The Hobgoblin Wrestler in the head with your mithril long sword, tearing apart the muscle, shattering the skull and tearing apart the brain!

Of course, instead of a slash to the head at this point you could go for a bite to the throat followed by shaking around by the throat, ripping apart the throat.

Also, pinching the head has a chance of decapitating the victim.

Depending on the size difference, of course. A dorf isn't going to decapitate a bronze colossus by pinching its head, but the other way round works quite fine.

This thread has opened my eyes.  I must mod in a Nipponese race, and start out a Kung-Fu/Aikido guy.  Dodging out the wazzoo, Striking, Kicking, and Wrestling.

Would it work or would I get eaten immediately.

Playing as wrestling character is almost, if not more fun, like if playing a Misc. object user I like gouging eyes out, deforming they're faces, then just grabbing they're weapon out of they're arms and sticking it through they're throats. It makes me smile at night.

I got my legendary, few days long characters dying, by goblin hands, with 1 lucky attack. Its all chance. Ofcourse if you grap 3 guys and hope for them to just paralyze, you will get fucked sideways. Play smart and keep your distance.

I think the problems with pure martial arts are:
- Your ability to do damage to much larger and stronger targets will be very limited.
- Grappling (such as the whole choakhold followed by ripping out the throat by biting) actually takes a while. Someone good at wrestling will probably always take longer to get a kill than someone with equal swordsmanship who can just go around one-shot decapitating enemies including titans.

Then again maybe if you get good enough at striking then you can do enough blunt force damage to large creatures to kill them.


If we can list off all of the possible combinations of moves then I'll update the wiki. So far I have:
- Grabbing the head -> gouging eyes
- Biting body parts -> shaking around, ripping off part
- Grabbing something then doing a "takedown" (except I'm not sure what a takedown actually does... just knocks them down?)
- Grabbing something then throwing

I'm not sure how disarming works. Grab the weapon then some option to rip the weapon away appears or what?

What body parts have to be grabbed to throw? Does grabbing an opponent with more than one arm help?

What other things can be done?

Doesn't matter. You can throw people by their eyelids, if you so wish.

Not that i know of. You only initiate the throw with one limb, so i doubt having a second one grappling will aid it. I might be wrong, though.

What other things can be done?

Grabbing the head with a hand allows you to gouge/pinch a LOT of things. You can even poke out all people's teeth. Also, if you're fighting humanoids, you can put limbs (arms and legs) into jointlocks, which allows you to break the shit out of them.

To disarm, 1) grab their weapon (Or pants) with a hand
2) press 'I' and scroll down 'til you see their weapon, highlighted red.
3) Select it, and choose gain posession.
4) Profit!

The most fun I ever had was a Dwarven striker/kicker/wrestler who found a fort full of likeminded dwarves.

Legendary in all three.

Much fun and Fun was had.

Also, if you plan on wrestling and striking primarily, carry around something sharp to quickly finish your opponents once they pass out.

Unless you WANT to enjoy hours upon hours of breaking bones and inflicting the maximum amount of pain upon those foolish enough to challenge your reign as King of Death.

Wrestling is even more fun if you go into the body_default.txt, search for [BODY:NECK], then just behind the [CONNECTOR] tag add [JOINT]. Now when you grab the head you can break the enemy's neck too. :3 Drops 'em instantly, they lose their weapons, and you can toy with them however you want.
