Finding Goblin Settlements in Adventure Mode?
« on: April 15, 2011, 12:55:47 pm »

I don't play adventure mode much, so I don't know how to find them. I'm using Mayday pack, so could someone tell me what to look for? Or what button to push?

I want to go level goblin fortresses!

Unfortunately, you can't. They're not implemented yet (along with elf or dwarf settlements)

Though I believe Genesis mod allows most races to use human towns.

...

So my fortresses are being invaded by armies of bums?

Their homes do exist but are invisible and not-interactable. For example, if a member of goblin patrol kills your adventurer, his inheritor may get a quest to kill the killer and that may lead to an empty space where invisible goblin-town is.

I modded my goblins to migrate underground, so you can find populations of them in the caves.  No real towns, but they'll wander in from off the map when you come across them.

They're civ members, but they will always attack you.  I don't think you'll come across their prisoners tho, unfortunately.

I like fortresses because they are still underground.

If you don't care about the dark forts so much but just want to kill goblins, you can just walk around in goblin territory and you'll get ambushed. Otherwise you're kind of out of luck for the current version.

I don't know if this would work but using Dfmode, Site changer, and a playable goblin Civ you could attempt to build one and use Dfmode and site changer to make the site retire able and known as a dark fortress. Though the goal I see doing this is to see if prisoners return.
