Also, Vector on an RTD thread? 0_o

Yeeeah, yeah, I know >_>

It was in GD, I've had only 3 hours of sleep, and I occasionally consider joining an RtD ever since a mafia game incorporated one in its flavortext.
Do eeeeeet. It's a lot like ASCII games, everyone here should know. It looks boring and simplistic until you play one.

Oh. Alright, I'll keep that in mind. Tho if everyone acts like they want, that brings us to another topic: PVP, and teams. Will there be PVP? Will the players be on one team?

I'd like more suggestions about the setting, since that determines pretty much everything except mechanics.

Let players kill eachother if they want to. As long as you have enough players on the waiting list, it won't be a problem. Then again, I've never experienced PvP as a player (outside arena combat RTD's), so maybe you shouldn't listen to me.
Or make sure that they have a replacement character. Or only allow cripping injuries (Which they can fix). They also have to have a good reason for it too.

Is it an RTD, that actually won't be abandoned by its creator?
Been in too many of those...

There are forum games and RTD's that are actually finished?

Woah.

Well many go on for years.
But there are others which simply recieve no updates, without any explanation why.

Yeah, once in a while games actually reach their end. I almost managed to do that with the Invasion, but gave up in the last part because I wasn't sure which ending to pick.

Still, most games get abandoned. You just run out of steam, or get a writer's block. I want to revive one of my games but I know I'd just abandon it eventually because I've already done that twice.

Back on topic, please. I still want more suggestions for the setting. Odd, I imagined that most people would want to talk about the setting first.

Urban fantasy right? I'd suggest something with low level, mundane, magic.

No. I haven't decided on that yet. I will decide when more people either support the idea or suggest something else.

I  don't mind any setting, just as long as political stereotypes (if any are used) are distorted.

Well, if we don't go Urban Fantasy, for the love of god, don't do a bland, generic high fantasy setting.

If we go Urban Fantasy, (ancient) secret societies are a must. Non-humans living amongst humans could be cool, in secret or not. I also think Urban Fantasy works best with a sort-of worn, semi-dystopian setting. That might just be me, though.

It must have a Jabba the Hutt and a Cthulhu reference. That's all I care about. So... if it's urban fantasy, you have your Jabba the Hutt be the mailman and Cthulhu be a therapist.

I'm all for the urban fantasy as well. And I might actually find the time to play.
