Wipe your feet! You're tracking mud everywhere!
« on: October 31, 2007, 11:26:00 am »

I made my farm muddy. The farmer went in and out of the muddy area planting seeds. He tracked mud behind him when he came out.

Other dwarves walked over that muddy area. They spread the mud even further.

The mud is slowly advancing, taking over my whole fortress. Tower-caps are growing in it (one already reached maturity - after only one year!). I can designate the muddy areas for planting.

Soon, I think, every square of my fortress will be muddy, and sprouting plants.

Does mud ever dry out in this version?

I swear it's the wicked elves. Soon.. very soon.. they will come and cast animate fungus spells all around your dungeon. And your dwarves will be trampled by giant tower caps. Soon...

mud does dry out (of maybe gets cleaned) but it seems to get tracked around much quicker then it goes away. very low traffic areas will eventually be mud-free again.

it would be fine if the cleaning labor worked, but it seems to still be bugged (or whatever) like last version - it's very rare for me to see cleaning pop up as a dwarf's task.
