Cobalt Fortress Revival?

Talking about bringing back the old Cobalt Fortress game which can be found here. The OOC thread is here.

I'd like to ask a question to all people that played the game: Are we going to use the old party of characters or start anew?

I'm not making it a poll as I would like there to be an open discussion before a decision is made.

Kinda torn, personally. I'd generally be in favor of starting fresh, but I really liked my old character. :-\

New, I have a much better idea for a char now.

Edit:  We also had too much dead weight, best to fix that by starting 100% fresh.

And everybody hated me too.  >.>  <.<

Perhaps we could RP in that the characters we had/want-to-keep returned to the Mountain Homes so that they can start alongside a few new recruits?

I'll spend some time toying with the old class system. (oh god)

Same world, (potentially) different characters.  I'd like to play a relative of Adil, a less crazy one I think.
Thanks for taking this on, coughdrop! Maybe we can take turns GMing if fatigue becomes a problem.

All characters that had a character in the game will be given the opportunity to import their character or start fresh. Those that are no longer active will most likely not be playing in the first place.


For those interested, I'm working on changing the caste system so that it no longer dictates what skills you can take up nor give you negative modifiers for skills while still granting helpful modifiers in their respected areas. I'm leaning towards a point system similar to DF adventure mode for dictating initial skills AND attributes (I might even give traits allotted point values).

This might take some time to flesh out. Just know I'm working on it.

Thoughts?
