These recent posts led me to the idea that we need a group of Bay12ers with their own game review/news dealy. We seem to generally know quality, and seem to generally dislike anyone who bends over for companies to provide good reviews for a little under the table moneys or whatever.

Just a sidebar from my scattered brain.

Err, I've never seen RPS take an article down for anyone (and there's no reason why Jagex would want it taken down), so it's more likely someone screwed up at the site and removed the article somehow.

Anyway. I haven't played this game after it first came out, and even then I only got on, like, twice because the servers were so shitty. It was fun enough, so I hope Jagex don't manage to totally ruin it now.

I hate everything Jagex does, and getting game-changing goods for cash is poor practice in my opinion. Last thing I want is a 13 year old with mommy's credit card to be blowing holes in my mountain.

Oh well, if anything I guess it'd make my tunnel rat strategy a few dozen times more legitimate and important. Until they just spam rockets and shit.

On a more relevant note, I am more disappointing then angry. I was thinking, wow, what a wonderful and hopeful time in gaming!
With all these awesome games, I don't know what to do! Then I came to this thread and read all THIS.

Well, I can only hope this was misinformation, because RPS seems like a pretty cool website and it is more then likely they took it down because it was false.

That's what I'm hoping as well. The tone suggested that it had been a stealth-Jagex project all along, which seems improbably for several reasons:

1. No P2W.
2. They plaster their name over everything they're involved in.
3. AoS isn't shit (or at least not for reasons that the dev would directly affect)
4. No P2W.


I'm hopefully assuming that it was a hoax.

The new one is shorter than the first.  They removed the most of the talk about Jagex, specifically the part that it was a Jagex project all along (Now it's that Jagex is the publisher).

Are you thinking of the article someone else had posted here? This looks exactly the same as the RPS article I read yesterday. Looking at the comments, they just published it a day early by accident, no other changes seem to be made.
RPS aren't really in to censoring themselves.
