Found that out the hard way. Spent an hour digging out the columns of the pantheon  :P

Shotgun is the best way to destroy a bunker quickly. Stand back a little bit, aim between 2 blocks, then destroy them both in one shot.

I think I saw you Necro.
I still like the rifle the best. But Im hearing a lot of SMG fire whenever I play a match.

That'll be anti building fire in some cases. The shotgun is still useful in close quarters considering it does have a one-shot kill capacity there.

I find the shotgun a little inconsistant unfortunately, I'd imagine it would be a bit better if it had more close up damage. As it stands it's not quite the dominant weapon up close, rifles have a fair chance of killing you with a headshot in the same time you could kill them back, and SMGs will destroy you with reckless abandon if you don't kill with the first shot, which sadly happens all too often in close quarters in hectic situations.

Doesn't stop me from using it though, the sound makes it so satisfying to use...

I often use the smg for 'surgical deconstruction' of enemy fortifications. Else I prefer the Rifle still.

Me and some other players did that once. Notch was on at the time. Unfortunately, we didn't record it.
