no sure if it works tbh. tons of people are trying to connect, but dcing right after. so i doubt it is.

Dwarfywar is what it comes up as for me.  I can't get on though as it is giving me the same error as Jusman  (I just updated version)

I've been playing this for the past couple of days, I was wondering when a B12 thread would arise :P

Anyway, I updated to .26 but I'm getting a version mismatch/map transfer error every time I try to join any server, specifically the DwarfyWar server.

lol the server got dc'd from the masterserver. said "kick: check newest version"


Maybe this should wait for tomorrow, either way, i'm stopping hosting for tonight, since its midnight-ish

Game has really unreliable first-time-connections.. ~could be the fact its using only UDP.
but literally about 30 people a minute were attempting to join my server the entire time it was up, and only 6 people or so got in the entire 30 minutes it was up... and a couple left/dropped in the middle.

When I managed to join, I had a blast.  Dug some tunnels, shot some guys, made a bunker, got into tunnel fights with enemies...

There needs to be different classes though.  I can see rifleman, sniper, heavy gunner, and entrencher being a good choice.  Plus artillery somehow, maybe being something you can build?

I can join servers now, but apparently I keep getting kicked out of every server because "check the new version". What new version?

Fuck that noise. Medics. Constructors. Demolitions experts. As cool as multiple attack classes would be we kinda need medics and somebody to make building easier. Possibly even making buildings like the healing tent, or reenforced blocks so bunkers are viable.

I actually don't think classes would improve this game, I like the idea of everyone being in the same situation because it means you have to try and outsmart the other team. Whether that means digging tunnels through the mountains and sneaking up on their base or digging a little cave in the side of a mountain and try to blend in while waiting for a shot at the enemy.

 I would support the addition of some kind of mobile artillery, where you would need to haul it somewhere and then try to set it up. It should be difficult to get them though (maybe that could be another reward for capturing intel) so they would have to be careful when setting it up or else get shot down and lose the guns to the other side.

fake edit: Duke is right, what I said before was about different combat classes, but different non combat classes would be cool, and would help add to the tactical part of the game.
