Ha, just had an great game, 100 kills and all of them were green. Buggers dug a tunnel right to our spawn but we took the fight to them!

One of the big problems I see with votekicking is that, with the map so big and everyone doing their own thing, most people aren't going to know for sure if the person is griefing or not... And why should they care? It's not like griefing is going to drastically affect someone who spends all their time sniping from the outer edges of the map.

Yeah, that is just the thing as well. There are a lot of deuces around that have no idea what is good and what is bad. I bet many people do not kick because they do not know who is in the right, and they do not care enough to find out.

Still, I always try to find out the issue before I kick, but it does not always work out.

This game needs a simple class system. I've posted at length, but having constructions you can destroy with mere rifle fire and bunkers, no matter how elaborate, becoming death traps thanks to instant-kill headshots when you peek up to look for targets, turns this game into a lot of fun for only two groups of people.

1. Snipers.
2. Trolls.

Everyone else gets bored. The game desperately needs some diversity in its weapons (hella simple; pistol, deployable MG with bulletproof shield, submachine gun) to give players some viable combat role besides lone wolf sniper.

You don't need a class system for that, a loadout based one would work out just as well. You also forgot LMGs as well (Though from the WWI era, they only had 20-30 round magazines)

That's what's so frustrating about it. People irrationally opposed to classes automatically shoot the whole suggestion down when other means to the same ends exist. I'd be quite fine with a loadout system, ala Tribes (hell I'd prefer it), but I think it would be a lot more code and a lot more work for the single developer who is busy making a G43 model prettier when he needs to make the intel marker flash.

True, the community is being a bit obstinate about it. Hell I like your suggestions too. The only problem is that once we get a proper system in, we may not get another one.

I really hope he doesn't make the intel marker flash. Fake intels is a viable strategy to me... I've mentioned this before.

Yeah, even funnier if you bury the intel then put a fake one right ontop of it. I've got to try it sometime.

Its a viable strategy right now. But if they added flashing intel markers, it would no longer be a viable strategy. Instead all the little combat engineerlings could put their time into more useful projects, like bunkers that protect the actual intel.

I dunno. My wife and I bagged a few dozen Greens thanks to two ten-second fighting positions in a hillside. She was both getting kills and running out of ammo. I'm so proud of her.
