Something on the  Amstrad, either Fruity Frank or that other game I mentioned in another thread, where you go through a dungeon, dodging monsters, and get a key to unlock some wizard guy. Was great fun... And despite that being when I was 3 or 4, I still remember the pattern of the carpet in the computer room!

I'm not even sure of the system. One where you loaded the games via a cassette player of sorts (we also later got a reader for large diskettes), it was connected to a TV, and it made horrible screeching sounds while actually loading the game. And the only game I remember the name of is Ghostbusters. And I had little to no idea how to play at the time.

The very first?

Was with dad at his work. He plopped me into a chair in front of a P3 phosphor monochrome screen and I was set for the day.

The very first game must have been either Mairo Bros.

Can't remember, but I don't think it did have a black background. Didn't pay much attention to the screen while nothing was loaded or loading, though. It also had a keyboard and 2 joysticks plugged in. Some other games for it I remember was a non-scrolling platformer where you went through different coloured screens fighting up to 3 ninjas with shurikens you could throw and pick up as well as a sword, and a 2 player 3d snake game where there were two 3d views at the top half and a 2d map on the bottom.

it proably was duck hount on a vic 20. my mother typed it from out of a magazine. had a bunch of ascii arrows on the bottom of the screen that could be launched by pressing space, and if timed correctly, they hit a vertical flying err.... duck. game sucked. my first enjoyable game proably was bomber, a game where a plane flew from right to the left screen. one could change altitude to avoid incomming gunfire and press space to release bombs (to kill the enemy guns).

My very first game was Who Wants to be a Millionaire for the PS1. Fun times.

The second was probably Dukes of Hazzard, also for the PS1.

Spyro the Dragon on the PS1, or Pokemon Silver
