I don't remember my very early console game history.  We had an Atari, though I don't recall ever playing it.  We also had an NES, which I very much remember, though not which game(s) I played first.  Probably SMB.

My first PC game, on the other hand, I'm pretty certain was Ultima VI.  Technically, I played U5 for a few minutes but, being an impatient little kid who refused to read the manual, I couldn't figure out how to open the door in the first room.  It's possible I played something on an older system (a 286 or 386 maybe?) we had around that time first, but I don't have any memory of that for certain until after discovering the wonders of Ultima.  I'm pretty sure I still have that old Ultima I-VI CD lying around somewhere.  I think I have the manual tucked away in a box, too, though it was very worn and covered in mostly-useless notes (used instead of a notepad... ) when last I saw it.

Definitely the original Super Mario Bros.  My parents bought an NES with Mario bundled, and I couldn't have been older than 3.  I remember playing it in the morning before going to daycare, when I may or may not have been able to read.
