I live in Australia.

Anyone going to build a superior drawbridge from here to there?

What? No!?

Damn you...

Well, even if I could go, it would be too hard to explain to my mum. And I would probably say something like "Bye mum! I'm going into the back of a cave with a bunch of men 3 times my age! See you in a few hours!"

This is awesome. I wish I could come, and I hope all of the people who can make it have a great time!

Unfortunately I'm from Nova Scotia, which is neither the right coast, nor the right country. :(

Unfortunately you can't build a bridge across regions like that without some major cheating or the future ability to build floors in adventure mode. Perhaps next year?

Redding?  The meetup is going to be in Redding, of all places?

Yeah, we knew that would be a question.  The main reason is that I'm planning it, and this is where I'm from.  It's in the middle of the state, so I was hoping it could be a middle ground.  And just to let everyone know, there's an airport here, but we're aware many people won't be able to afford the tickets.

Our main goal at this point is to see how many people can come.

I'm in Oakland, so depending on the date, I'd be interesting in coming. I don't have a car, so I'd probably end up taking a bus, or if anyone else from the SF Bay Area is going, maybe I'd be able to ride with them. I can also take the same train as Knaveofstaves mentioned, with the same issue of arriving at 3:00 in the morning, and having to leave at 2:00am.

We'd also love to have anyone from the gaming or entertainment industry, like Valve or Pixar!  If you work for a company like these, please PM me.

I logged in just to say maybe. I know there's a few of us in the bay and we could all carpool - or perhaps move it to the SF bay area or any metropolitan area where there's generally good public transport here/there from across CA and out-of-state.

fuck yeah, I missed the last couple in WA because they just didnt work with my schedule, but Reding is only a couple hours and I could definitly make it.  I only have a couple scheduled events in those months, so unless it falls on June 10 or July 22-24 I'm totally there.

Lets lock in a date as soon as possible, to make planning easier for everyone.

A bay-area carpool could totally be feasable.  If I drag the Mrs along, we'd probably rent a car and could pick someone up if travel schedules line up.  Otherwise, I'd probably come on two wheels.

I'm guessing you picked Redding due to its proximity to Lassen Volcanic?  I always wanted to check that place out.

I am gonna pop in and agree that the Bay would be legit just cause it suits my interest,
but Redding seems legit, I just have to weigh if a 7 hour car trip is worth it(it is).
It depends I guess, what it entails. Camping may be a good idea so people don't have to poor more money on lodging, and we can all sit around the wagon and drink.

BAAAHHHH!!! 10 1/2 hour drive?? Without accounting for traffic?? From southern California?? This sounds like a really rough adventure challenge.... I don't think I'm gonna be able to make it >.<
