Bones...yes...
« on: April 12, 2011, 01:19:35 pm »

This mood has me stumped. He only needs two things;

Bones...yes...
Stone...rock...

That's bones and rocks. I have the bones, he even went and got them, I watched him. The rocks however, has me alittle confused. I know I have rocks. I mined out a TON of shale to build the walls and floor of my fortress, an have excess. I checked and made sure that there was some laying around, unused, but he won't go pick it up. I was unaware the type of stone mattered.. or am I getting just a bit of bad luck or something?

Edit; Mined out some quartzite to see if he just didn't like shale... nope, won't use that either.

Check his preferences. If there's a particular type of stone he likes, whip up a custom reaction make some out of shale and replace something you're not using. Alternatively, he may be angling for a specific type of bone, or a larger quantity of it. Check how long he hangs on "Bones... yes...", you may need to get some more.

This dwarf is crazy. I see no stone under likes, but...

She prefers to consume sunshine? What?

Where is the workshop they claimed in the fort then? Is it accidently locked away or something?

Sunshine is a drink made form... something!

The Wine of the elves. It's the highest quality booze possible. You make it from sunberries, which if I recall correctly are only found in Good biomes.

New fort. No door on it yet. Hell, as you can see, the floor outside isn't even done yet.

Maybe she needs MORE bones?

EDIT: ARRRGH! My eyes... why don't you use a tile-set?

Can't "bones... yes..." also refer to other body parts? Like shells?

Dying (ceasing to be alive) is also not a Moodable skill. Even totally unskilled Dwarves seem to do it correctly.

She only stays on the bone and stone topics for like a second before switching to the other, so I assume she wouldn't need much. And even if she did, the horse and water buffalo I butchered should contain enough bones for anything.

Unless she's building like, a ballista out of bones. That would be pretty neat.

I can't stand the tilesets, gives it a cartoon-y look that I don't like. The default isn't MUCH better, but in my opinion I prefer it over any fo the tilesets I've seen.

I killed my second horse and she gathered his bones. Apparently, the first horse's bones weren't good enough. This is what she ended up making:

Saturvad, "Strokeseals", a water buffalo bone spear
This is a water buffalo bone spear. All craftdwarfship is of the highest quality. It is decorated with cow bone. On the item is an image of The Stern Gem the elk bird bone earring in water buffalo bone. On the item is an image of Aban Wheeledcradled the dwarf and dwarves in tetrahedrite. Aban Wheeledcradled is surrounded by the dwarves. The artwork related to the ascension of the dwarf Aban Wheeledradeled to the position of king of The Triangular Crystal in 121.

Two things:
1. I didn't kill a cow, where'd that bone come from?
2. The Stern Gem? This is my first artifact for this fort... I think that *may* have been an artifact from my previous fort though.

ELF! ELF!

Do Elves have the river running red with blood even before they climb down off the wagon? Sounds like some pretty bed-ass Elves.
