cooking goblins, possible?

Just had this idea for a torture chamber for my fortress. a room with a magma-safe floor were I would put all my prisioner goblins, close the doors, release the cages and run several channels of magma under the floor, hopefuly baking the captives into nice hot wardog food (comproved quality by Urist McBaker!).

Before I go to the trouble of doing this, just asking if anyone knows if it is possible and how much time it should take till the "cakes" are ready.

Ummm, thinking about it rigth now, I figure using a meltable floor would be cool too... :-\

Unfortunately no, there's nothing long lasting between a healthy goblin and a boiled corpse. I suppose you might apply !!science!! to figure out how much fat you can melt before dousing them, and having them survive?

That so? Even better then! I could use that room to conduct meetings with the elves without cleaning it up first!  :D
I guess my wardogs will go hungry though... Oh well, theres always more goblins, thats the one certainty in this part of the world.

Doesn't cooking the fat off a living being make it impervious to fire?  I distinctly recall making a magma-proof pack of battle elephants once, via wildfire.
