Ok,

So, I have a plethora of my dwarfs all saying that ALL the time now. Are they wanting to drop an item of theirs somewhere? Do they want to get something and store somewhere?

It's sad that when you zoom to location, it only shows who is complaining. I wish you could see what's bothering them. I'm completely clueless. We are under siege and I assigned all my dwarfs to burrows. Since they are assigned to burrows, shouldn't they only desire things that are inside the burrows? Thus accessible? Not that I have heavy traffic, but could heavy traffic cause a pathing issue with the dwarfs? Like them trying to calculate a path where there is constant traffic?

I'm grasping at straws here.

EDIT:

Another one I get a lot is;

Urist McSpam-A-lot cancels Store Owned Item: Item inaccessible.

Now what does that refer to? That one I just don't even understand what i means. :(

Thanks :)

The "Item Inaccessable" messages probably refer to outdoors death items or non-Dwarf corpses, which they want to put in a stockpile which is inside their burrow. Did you set the Forbid-on-Death flags ('o' - 'f')? It only affects items and corpses at the time of death, so you'll have to go over the outside map forbidding everything that's lying around on the surface.

The "Store Owned Item" message refers to dropped socks, shirts, etc which the Dwarf still owns and wants to move to his/her bedroom. The items are probably outside the burrow, or even locked outside.

Unfortunately, no.  When doing mass temporary burrow restrictions, it's probably best to go into {o}ptions and hit {x} a few times to announce no job cancellations.

Also, I've never seen a job cancellation due to high traffic.

Not at all. They want to deal with things that are outside, but can't, as those are out of their zone.

Go deal with the siege so the fort can resume.

Giant badgers are cruel saddistic balls of fur and hate. Did anyone know they could paint a wall with a single dwarven baby?.... You know what, I made the Giant badgers sound like sane DF players.

Haha, Fair enough.

Easier said then done. I thwarted 2 little Goblin sieges, got them running! But now.. they came back 3 large groups, with legendary "goblins" I guess in there. My army didn't put much of a fight, and now we just wait for them to want to leave. a few of them keep runing into my weapon traps.

Thanks for the tips, i'll try to forbid the surface. :)

Thanks!
