Most of my embarks have various cavern beasties on offer. I never take them because they're so expensive.

Oh, by the way, I found the candy. It's in the magma.

 :o

My queen in this cave crocodile fortress... is a moon monster's mate, meaning the king is a moon monster? or at least a queen's consort.

You know how when you read combat logs, if your dwarf is no longer active in the military it will not say "The axe dwarf" but something like "The potash maker" so chances are, she was the queen, and then got 'converted'

? What does this have to do with my queen being the mate of a moon monster. I don't see how military titles have anything to do with it. I thought stuff like that was adventure mode targets, moon monsters, and mates of moon monsters. etc.

She was a regular dwarf when she became queen, but she must have been captured and turned AFTER that, so it uses her most recent title.

Ha, awesome fort! :)
Once I had a sort of similiar glitch, vanilla .19, the only unusual thing I did was use DFusion's embark anywhere.
Anyway, in my starting seven, I had a gremlin. A kobold. And an elf! :o
The gremlin and elf hada 'thoughts and preferences' screen like the dwarves, but I couldn't command them, sadly.
Although, the gremlin embarked with a crossbow and bolts, (without me asking for them) and went off hunting after embark. :P It was AWESOME.
I have a screenshot lying around somewhere, but sadly the fort failed.
