[19:23] <glyphgryph> This session: The group encounters some civilians on the road. They might have noticed Kalebs thing, important thing is they eventually continue on. Your group soon hears screams.
[19:23] <Neris> Sorry, got sidetracked.
[19:23] <glyphgryph> Neris, you got here just in time for the campaign to be cancelled
[19:23] <Neris> Aw.
[19:24] <@Kaleb> I got a job, and Boggo and I are the only people who show up reliably.
[19:24] <glyphgryph> Kaleb got a job, and as one of my two reliable players
[19:24] <glyphgryph> That's a pretty lethal blow
[19:24] <glyphgryph> Unfortunately
[19:24] <Neris> Yeah.
[19:24] <glyphgryph> My wife is /so/ upset about the possibility of me no longer ignoring her on Tuesdays
[19:24] <glyphgryph> Heheh
[19:24] <glyphgryph> Anyways, you discover that the netch-mutant-zombie-darkmage
[19:25] <glyphgryph> Has destroyed the caravan and is draining the lifeforce from those who were in it
[19:25] <glyphgryph> It also learned from your last encounter, and it's its distance
[19:25] <glyphgryph> Kaleb takes several points of damage, and wounds appear over his body
[19:25] <glyphgryph> It turns out the Netch can cast dark magic spells
[19:25] <glyphgryph> And it has started using dark lightning on him
[19:26] <glyphgryph> Your group presumably either kills it or drives it off and flees onwards. If strife is here, Ebru makes an appearance to help.
[19:26] <glyphgryph> Either way, your group soon runs into her
[19:26] <glyphgryph> She's a dark mage with her own collar
[19:27] * Boggotaruach (~chatzilla@NewNet-B990424A.tbcn.telia.com) Quit ( Ping timeout )
[19:27] <glyphgryph> The lizardman is distrustful
[19:27] <glyphgryph> Various possible outcomes occur
[19:27] * Boggotaruach (~chatzilla@NewNet-B990424A.tbcn.telia.com) has joined #darktidesrp
[19:27] <glyphgryph> But most involve her agreeing to travel with your group to discover more about what is going on in the city, thanks to her connection to half of it
[19:27] <Boggotaruach> internet is shifty
[19:27] <glyphgryph> it being your group for that last pronoun
[19:28] <Boggotaruach> was that Ebru?
[19:28] <glyphgryph> Yes
[19:28] <glyphgryph> It turns out Ebru is a disciple of Anksii
[19:28] <Boggotaruach> the good one of the two?
[19:28] <glyphgryph> Neither of them are anything approaching good
[19:28] <glyphgryph> But Anksii is the worse one
[19:29] <Boggotaruach> so Ebru *was* the Big Bad!
[19:29] <glyphgryph> Both of them are very bad people, but Anksii is the more powerful
[19:29] <glyphgryph> Well, not quite
[19:29] <Boggotaruach> I knew it!
[19:29] <Boggotaruach> The Small Bad?
[19:29] <glyphgryph> Not even
[19:29] <Neris> A bad!
[19:29] <Boggotaruach> ...The Naughty?
[19:29] <glyphgryph> Anyways, Eldrith tries to kill her as a threat to them
[19:29] <glyphgryph> Which either results in Eldrith dead, or her convincing him she wants to change sides
[19:30] <glyphgryph> Which she really wasn't terribly averse to the idea of
[19:30] <glyphgryph> And she knows a LOT about the collars
[19:30] <glyphgryph> With Eldrith's help, the group figures out how to remove them and maintain the link
[19:30] <glyphgryph> It turns our Eldrith is a pretty powerful dark mage in his own right
[19:30] <Boggotaruach> the link?
[19:30] <glyphgryph> Regardless of the absence of a collar
[19:30] <Boggotaruach> I knew it!
[19:30] <Boggotaruach> Eldrith is the Big Bad
[19:31] <glyphgryph> Dark Mage's collars link them to the source of their power through a chain of dark mages above them
[19:31] <Boggotaruach> *AND* Eldrith is Ebru spelled backwards!
[19:31] <Neris> Kaleb is the Big Bad.
[19:31] <Neris> BOGGO IS THE BIG BAD.
[19:31] <glyphgryph> Technically, Kaleb, Ebru, and Eldrith are all working for the big bads
[19:31] <@Kaleb> Kaleb's Big and Bad, but not the Big Bad.
[19:31] <Boggotaruach> :0
[19:31] <glyphgryph> Now, the group gets back to the city
[19:31] <Boggotaruach> :O
[19:31] <glyphgryph> Kaleb, if you remember
[19:32] <glyphgryph> Was originally working for the guy that came from the capital
[19:32] <Neris> Phin.
[19:32] <Boggotaruach> Phineas!
[19:32] <Boggotaruach> yeah.
[19:32] <glyphgryph> And placed him with Phineas as a spy, yes
[19:32] <Neris> He was pretty cool but I liked his brother more.
[19:32] <Boggotaruach> Pay was good.
[19:32] <glyphgryph> Well, while your groups been away, he hasn't been wasting time
[19:33] <glyphgryph> The city is being militarized under his iron fist
[19:33] <glyphgryph> And the emperor is said to be dying in the capital
[19:33] <glyphgryph> After some research, you find all the dark mages recently?
[19:33] <glyphgryph> Followers of Kilrati
[19:33] <glyphgryph> Same as Kaleb's master
[19:33] <glyphgryph> It's all a ruse
[19:33] <glyphgryph> He's been recruiting them himself
[19:34] <glyphgryph> And giving them power, pretty much explicitly to give him an excuse to seize power and build up his army
[19:34] <Boggotaruach> who's been recruiting them?
[19:34] <glyphgryph> Kaleb's Master
[19:34] <Neris> Phin.
[19:34] <glyphgryph> The guy from the capital
[19:34] <glyphgryph> Who is the new governor of the city
[19:34] <Neris> So Phin is the big bad.
[19:34] <glyphgryph> No, not Phineas - phineas was just a minor noble
[19:34] <@Kaleb> Didn't Phineas die?
[19:34] <glyphgryph> Kaleb wasn't REALLY working for Phineas
[19:34] <Neris> Oh right.
[19:35] <glyphgryph> That was the whole point of your groups going to spy on Kaleb
[19:35] <glyphgryph> You were never really interested in Phineas at all
[19:35] <Neris> Oh right.
[19:35] <Neris> We kinda didn't do that.
[19:35] <Boggotaruach> ooooh
[19:35] <glyphgryph> Phineas died, yes, he just got caught in the middle
[19:35] <Boggotaruach> I didn't even know that.
[19:35] <glyphgryph> Ebru knew the full story there
[19:35] <glyphgryph> I think she only told each of you parts, thoguh
[19:35] <@Kaleb> Neris was supposed to be spying on me? ... But didn't she show up before I did?
[19:36] <Boggotaruach> but on the other hand I know I missed a session around Kaleb's arrival
[19:36] <glyphgryph> Yes, Neris was spying on you and trying to get close to your this whole time
[19:36] <Neris> Before you came along I was seducing guys and stealing their money, and also making guards feel better.
[19:36] <Boggotaruach> And I was protecting Neris. Kinda.
[19:36] <glyphgryph> Because Ebru hired Neris to spy on you
[19:36] <Boggotaruach> Or just being generally awesome.
[19:37] <Neris> If it makes you feel any better, I forgot what I was supposed to be doing.
[19:37] <Boggotaruach> such is Kalebs charm.
[19:37] <Neris> Or if I ever really knew what I was supposed to be doing.
[19:37] <glyphgryph> Regardless, Zayde realizes the shit is going to hit the fan
[19:38] <glyphgryph> And does what he can to help you before bailing
[19:38] <Neris> Well. There's only one session that I clearly remember going 'alright, watch Kaleb, he's the guy I need to be watching', and that was the one with the wagons going to the dock.
[19:38] <glyphgryph> Heh... and then you got to talk to him
[19:38] <Boggotaruach> which I probably missed.
[19:38] <Neris> Yep, then I talked to him, and promptly forgot.
[19:39] <@Kaleb> To be fair, I think Neris watched Kaleb lenty.
[19:39] <@Kaleb> *plenty.
[19:39] <Neris> Heheh.
[19:39] <Boggotaruach>
[19:40] <glyphgryph> Anyways, as your investigation deepens you get into various scrapes, and eventually you are betrayed by the gritterling just before Zayde departs - Trapping Kale, Zayde, Neris (and Eldrith, if he still lives) in a lose-lose situation.
[19:40] <Neris> Frakkin' knew it.
[19:40] <glyphgryph> Except that Boggo ends up getting caught in the trap too
[19:40] <Neris> Gritterlin's are bad.
[19:40] <glyphgryph> And in an attempt to save Boggo's life, the gritterling not only dies but gives the rest of the group a chance to escape
[19:40] <Neris> Oh.
[19:41] <glyphgryph> He was going to have a very moving speech about how the lot of your murdered his entire family
[19:41] <glyphgryph> Wanted to murder him
[19:41] <glyphgryph> Back on the submarine
[19:41] <Neris> What if the gritterling happened to have an 'accident' before this happened.
[19:41] <glyphgryph> And generally treated him as worthless
[19:41] <glyphgryph> All except Boggo
[19:41] <Boggotaruach> NOOOO
[19:41] <Boggotaruach> MY SIDEKICK
[19:41] <@Kaleb> Did his family attack us first, or were they just on the island when it sank?
[19:41] <glyphgryph> And it didn't help that he overheard you all bragging about sinking the Island
[19:41] <Boggotaruach> HE WOULD NEVER BETRAY ME
[19:41] <Boggotaruach> also I
[19:41] <glyphgryph> They were on the island
[19:41] <Boggotaruach> also I'm a bit late
[19:42] <@Kaleb> Yeah, that island had it coming.
[19:42] <glyphgryph> They worked as cooks
[19:42] <@Kaleb> ...You ever see Clerks? You've seen Clerks, right?
[19:42] <glyphgryph> Yes
[19:42] <glyphgryph>
[19:42] <Boggotaruach> no
[19:43] <Boggotaruach> also now that I read it
[19:43] <Boggotaruach> I'm happy he didn
[19:43] <Boggotaruach> t betray me
[19:43] <@Kaleb>
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGOVbXF7Iog This should be it.
[19:43] <Boggotaruach> bros to the end!
[19:44] <@Kaleb> Relevant part starts at about a minute.
[19:44] <glyphgryph> Heh, yeah, I remember that
[19:45] <glyphgryph> Anyways, with Ebru managing to craft you both non-collar links
[19:45] <glyphgryph> You manage to infiltrate and finally meet back up with your guy
[19:45] <glyphgryph> There's several ways it could have gone at that point
[19:46] <@Kaleb> I believe I was promised a kingdom.
[19:46] <glyphgryph> So you guys can vote on what happens next - you defeat him after discovering he's been poisoning the emperor and planning to seize control of the whole empire
[19:46] <@Kaleb> A kingdom's smaller than an empire, right?
[19:46] <glyphgryph> He does, of course, promise several cities to Kaleb in this new Empire
[19:46] <glyphgryph> For him to make his own Kingdom
[19:47] <glyphgryph> OR you can defeat him, save the Emperor, and get the eternal gratitude of the Empire
[19:47] <@Kaleb> I offer Boggo knighthood. Chicks dig knights. Especialy dark knights.
[19:47] <glyphgryph> Freeing the city from his iron fist
[19:48] <glyphgryph> And the fact that he has a dungeon full of people he's been torturing to drain their souls
[19:48] <glyphgryph> Mostly political opponents, naysayers, and criminals
[19:48] <Boggotaruach> Boggo's don't need no titles. He's already got a shield, and a cloak to get the ladies.
[19:48] <glyphgryph> Troublesome folk that no one would miss
[19:49] <Neris> Hybrid: We kill the guy, gain the gratitude of the empire, and kill all the people in the dungeons.
[19:49] <Boggotaruach> no Dog-Eyes?
[19:49] <Boggotaruach> also
[19:49] <glyphgryph> Ebru's boyfriend is in the dungeon
[19:49] <glyphgryph> Captured when they raided her safehouse
[19:49] <@Kaleb> Kaleb's got no reason to betray his buddy... And doesn't Neris want a kingdom? ;-)
[19:50] <Boggotaruach> I obviously can't let a guy with such torture thingies get away
[19:50] <Boggotaruach> not after what they did to me.
[19:50] <glyphgryph> Boggo - if he gets the chance, he explains to you that its needed
[19:50] <glyphgryph> Because the alternative is worse
[19:50] <glyphgryph> The vast bulk of Anksii's forces march on the empire as they speak
[19:50] <Boggotaruach> Also no way Boggo would risk the freedom of his own Hive
[19:50] <Neris> Hm.
[19:50] <glyphgryph> And only a force of dark mages and a powerful army could prevent him
[19:50] <Neris> We find a way to destroy the world.
[19:51] <glyphgryph> Should they come here, there will BE no empire - it will simply be city-states full of otherworlders and slave factories generating dark magic
[19:51] <Neris> Then, Anksii's power is stopped, and there is no more evil.
[19:51] <glyphgryph> Everyone Boggo knows and cares about will end up in that sort of dungeon unless this man, who we'll call Master Ildin, can turn the Empire into a war machine capable of resisting him
[19:52] <Neris> So we help the guy get rid of Anksii's army, then we kill him.
[19:52] <Neris> After Kaleb gets his kingdom, of course.
[19:52] <glyphgryph> In fact, he request's Boggo return to his hive and try to raise an army - in exchange for helping him repel the invaders, he promises them independence forever from his Empire
[19:53] <Boggotaruach> FREEEEEEEEEEDOOOOOOOOM
[19:53] <Boggotaruach> Does he have yellow eyes?
[19:53] <glyphgryph> So where would the votes be
[19:53] <glyphgryph> No, he does not
[19:53] <@Kaleb> That souns like a prety good deal, Boggo.
[19:53] <glyphgryph> The yellow eyes is from the Island drug
[19:53] <glyphgryph> Which, by the way, reduces the cost of all Dark Mage spells by 15%
[19:53] <glyphgryph> Rounded up
[19:54] <Boggotaruach> well
[19:54] <@Kaleb> Kaleb is a firm believer in loyalty. And having a kingdom.
[19:54] <Boggotaruach> Freedom promised is obviously not going to last
[19:54] <Boggotaruach> so I go with let him stop Anksii and then kill him.
[19:54] <Boggotaruach> with my army.
[19:55] <Boggotaruach> Boggo-army.
[19:55] <Boggotaruach> Ooh oh you
[19:55] <Boggotaruach> 're in the army now.
[19:55] <Neris> I'm with Boggo.
[19:55] <Boggotaruach> Ooh Oh the Boggo army now.
[19:55] <Boggotaruach> Stiric is too.
[19:55] <Boggotaruach> and Darvi.
[19:55] <Boggotaruach> Who woke up.
[19:55] <glyphgryph> Your group gathers together an army - for defeating the flanking force of dark mages, you are all made generals
[19:55] <Neris> Get rid of Anksii's guys, then kill Ildin, after Kaleb gets his lands.
[19:56] <Boggotaruach> Tehn kill Kaleb, ursurp his kindom.
[19:56] <glyphgryph> Unfortunately, Anksii's armies can't really be stopped, per se
[19:56] <glyphgryph> Your decision here ended the game proper
[19:56] <@Kaleb> THousand years of war?
[19:56] <glyphgryph> There would have been a couple more sessions, mostly determining how the war goes and how long the Empire holds them off.
[19:57] <glyphgryph> If you hold them off for 40 years, you have a chance of "victory"
[19:57] <glyphgryph> Because another group manages to shut down the portals to the Otherworld
[19:57] <glyphgryph> Killing the dark mages power source and preventing them from sending in more reinforcements
[19:57] <@Kaleb> Haha, 40 year war, nice! Nobody'll think of rebellion when there's a massive evil enemy outside!
[19:57] <glyphgryph> They have an army built from hundreds of worlds though - without that happening, you would be doomed to lose sooner or later
[19:58] <glyphgryph> It's mostly about buying time
[19:58] <glyphgryph> None of you ever find out why Anksii's armies stopped coming, exactly
[19:58] * Boggotaruach_ (~chatzilla@NewNet-B990424A.tbcn.telia.com) has joined #darktidesrp
[19:58] <Neris> So, if we get that victory, we'll be able to take down Ildrin, right?
[19:58] <glyphgryph> Or why Kaleb lost his powers
[19:58] <glyphgryph> At that point, maybe
[19:58] <@Kaleb> Eh, in 40 years he'll probably be dead anyway.
[19:58] <Boggotaruach_> i disconnected at " If you hold them off for 40 years, you have a chance of "victory""
[19:58] <Neris> Alright.
[19:58] <glyphgryph> Though there's much rebuilding to do
[19:59] <glyphgryph> Very few people are interested in a civil war
[19:59] * Boggotaruach (~chatzilla@NewNet-B990424A.tbcn.telia.com) Quit ( Ping timeout )
[19:59] <Neris> We take him down while he's weak, unless he's virtually holding the empire together with his bare hands.
[19:59] <glyphgryph> After a 40 year war that saw 2/3rds of the empire almost obliterated
[19:59] * Boggotaruach_ is now known as Boggotaruach
[19:59] <glyphgryph> And countless deaths
[19:59] <Neris> I didn't say civil war. I said take down, which could be assassination.
[19:59] <@Kaleb> Better idea, Neris... We suck up to him so that when he dies, I become Emperor.
[19:59] <Neris> Something I'm rather good at, if I do say so myself.
[19:59] <glyphgryph> He IS sort of holding the empire together at that point - the emperor is long since dead, and he's ruling in his place.
[19:59] <Neris> Right.
[19:59] <Boggotaruach> well
[19:59] <Neris> Kaleb sucks up to him.
[20:00] <Neris> Then I poison him,.
[20:00] <Boggotaruach> then we kill him anyway
[20:00] <Neris>
[20:00] <Boggotaruach> and all dark mages
[20:00] <Neris> EMPIRE
[20:00] <glyphgryph> Overthrowing him is possible, but you'd have to have been prepared to take over in his place
[20:00] <glyphgryph> Boggo would have been dead by then, most likely
[20:00] <Boggotaruach> and raise all torture chamber to the ground.
[20:00] <Neris> I wouldn't shout "HEY I'MMA POISON THIS GUY NOW."
[20:00] <Boggotaruach> whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
[20:00] <@Kaleb> Raze. With a Z.
[20:00] <glyphgryph> Because your race only has a lifespan of 40-50 years
[20:00] <Boggotaruach> NO WE RAISE THEM TO THE GROUND
[20:00] <Boggotaruach> AND BURN THEM UP
[20:00] <Neris> Kaleb would get written into his will, then I slowly kill him over the course of a few years.
[20:01] <Boggotaruach> ...Boggo II takes over.
[20:01] <glyphgryph> Anyways, yeah, assuming you could overthrow them, the aging Kaleb seizes control of the kingdom, mercilessly dealing with upstarts but generally ruling fairly, with his Empress beside him
[20:01] <Boggotaruach> And kills him.
[20:01] <glyphgryph> Boggo's son, who helps in the coup
[20:02] <glyphgryph> Establishes strong relations with the new empire
[20:02] <Boggotaruach> Then kills the aging Kaleb and his Empress.
[20:02] <glyphgryph> Kaleb ties the remnants of the Empire together
[20:02] <Boggotaruach> And becomes the first Hruntar Emperor!
[20:02] <glyphgryph> It never quite reaches its power, but the Empire of the Setting Sun becomes the Empire of the New Dawn
[20:02] <glyphgryph> *It never quite reaches the power it had before the war
[20:03] <glyphgryph> Obviously the details of all of this would have been very prone to changing at any point
[20:03] <Boggotaruach> the big question is of course
[20:03] <glyphgryph> And I assume you end up having a litter of kids, honouring Boggo's clan for their valour, maybe eventually getting couped yourself
[20:04] <Boggotaruach> would I ever run into Dog-Eyes again, or did he die on the Island?
[20:04] <glyphgryph> He did not, in fact, die on the Island
[20:04] <glyphgryph> You slay him in battle after he rejoins and heads one of the dark mages armies, which takes over an Empire city
[20:04] <glyphgryph> You lead the fight to take it back
[20:04] <glyphgryph> And slay him in his fortress as he begs for mercy
[20:05] <Boggotaruach> And then I eat his eyes.
[20:05] <glyphgryph> You have grown old by this point, and had many children
[20:05] <Boggotaruach> And carry his head around on a stick.
[20:05] <glyphgryph> And, unfortunately, you pushed far ahead of safety to insure he wouldn't escape again
[20:05] <Neris> He's Boggo, his cloak makes him immortal.
[20:05] <glyphgryph> Since this will actually be the third time you encounter him
[20:05] <glyphgryph> Post-island
[20:06] <Boggotaruach> hehe
[20:06] <glyphgryph> His dark mages and warriors kill you before he can escape - the city is not recaptured in this attack. But the lack of leadership and the squabbling his death causes allows Kaleb's following attack to retake the city and leads to a strong two year long push back against the invading forces before they regain their momentum
[20:07] <Boggotaruach> :O
[20:07] <glyphgryph> Which, oddly enough, gives him the reputation responsible for him later being able to succesfully take control of the empire
[20:07] <glyphgryph> Boggos son, Boggo II, makes a name for himself in the war, rising to a leadership position and swearing vengeance against all dark mages for the death of his father
[20:08] <Boggotaruach>
[20:08] <Boggotaruach> good boy
[20:09] <glyphgryph> Anyways
[20:09] <glyphgryph> Unbeknownst to your little group
[20:09] <glyphgryph> There's honestly no chance the empire could have resisted for that long
[20:10] <glyphgryph> Even with all your efforts
[20:10] <@Kaleb> Even with the old man's help?
[20:10] <@Kaleb> And spreading propaganda about how we can do it?
[20:10] <glyphgryph> Except every time the Empire sent in one of their secret weapons - a Liar - the Liar would mysteriously go missing
[20:10] <@Kaleb> ...Wait why would they send the Liars away?
[20:10] <glyphgryph> And their are rumours of a man who would go from city to city making rousing, powerful speeches right before important battles
[20:11] <glyphgryph> Liars can make any army invincible, nearly
[20:11] <glyphgryph> They'd used them before to take out troublesome opponents who weren't worth the losses
[20:11] <Boggotaruach> ...Zayde?
[20:11] <@Kaleb> Yeah, but they're too valuable to risk in the front lines. We should use them for weapons production, food production...
[20:11] <glyphgryph> They never really end up as "front line" tools
[20:12] <glyphgryph> They don't participate in battles themselves
[20:12] <@Kaleb> Ah. But they always go missing? That seems like a top priority to investigate.
[20:12] <glyphgryph> Oh yes, well, after the second one dissapeared they stopped sending them
[20:12] <glyphgryph> That was year 6
[20:12] <Boggotaruach> *whistles innocently*
[20:12] <glyphgryph> But you'd be surprised at what 3 renegade Liars can do from the shadows for a resistance effort
[20:13] <@Kaleb> Ouchies.
[20:13] <glyphgryph> Everyone on both sides became strangely convinced that if every time a liar was sent, they'd "go missing"
[20:13] <glyphgryph> The bosses back home took a couple tries to get the message
[20:14] <glyphgryph> Zayde and his little group end up living about 300 years, and form their own little Utopia in the wilderness. They have a gaggle of children.
[20:15] <Neris> Ungrateful old coot.
[20:15] <glyphgryph> Eventually, they inset themselves, secretly, into almost every power structure across the continent as their numbers grow and their influence spreads, and the Otherworlders are cowed and forced back
[20:16] <glyphgryph> Long after everyone in your group dies, their influence ties together the kingdoms of the continent as the Ampiran Mages, against all odds, discover how to pierce the veil between worlds
[20:16] <glyphgryph> And then... well.
[20:16] <Boggotaruach> DESTRUCTION
[20:16] <glyphgryph> Payback is a bitch
[20:16] <Boggotaruach> wait
[20:16] <Neris> Ohohohoho
[20:16] <Boggotaruach> our world destroy theirs?
[20:16] <glyphgryph> Yes, Zayde was playing the long game
[20:17] <Boggotaruach> that bastard.
[20:17] <glyphgryph> His children lead an invasion through the otherworld, re-seizing planets and kicking asses and taking names
[20:17] <@Kaleb> I'm okay with that. I got my kingdom, and the girl.
[20:17] <glyphgryph> Destroying torture chambers and liberating peoples across dozens of worlds
[20:17] <glyphgryph> Eventually retaking the Liar's homeworld
[20:17] <Boggotaruach> weeee torture chambers!
[20:18] <Boggotaruach> I bet Boggo XXXXXXXXXXX was with them.
[20:18] <glyphgryph> Probably!
[20:18] <Boggotaruach>
[20:18] <@Kaleb> That'd be Boggo CX
[20:18] <glyphgryph> At which point most of the Liars consider their job done, retreat back to their world, leave everybody else to do whatever the fuck they want
[20:18] <glyphgryph> And seal off the portals to their world permanently
[20:18] <Boggotaruach> Don't be dissin Hruntar count system yo!
[20:18] <glyphgryph> Zayde doesn't live to see the day, but his children do
[20:19] <glyphgryph> Your group sowed the seeds for the ultimate downfall of Anksii's empire
[20:19] <Neris> Neris CX, Kaleb CX, and Boggo CX go on more adventures.
[20:19] <Boggotaruach> We are the awesomest.
[20:19] <@Kaleb> Boggo's people age/reroduce faster. Numbers wouldn't line up.
[20:20] <Boggotaruach> Not all of them were called Boggo.
[20:20] <glyphgryph> They don't actually reproduce that much faster
[20:20] <Boggotaruach> Some where called Taruach.
[20:20] <glyphgryph> They tend to have children later in life
[20:20] <glyphgryph> They do mature faster, and have lots more children
[20:20] <glyphgryph> But the generations would actually be similar
[20:20] <@Kaleb> Ah.
[20:20] <glyphgryph> They settle down AFTER their wanderlust stage
[20:21] <Neris> So yeah.
[20:21] <glyphgryph> Which lasts from about 16-24
[20:21] <glyphgryph> Heh
[20:21] <@Kaleb> And thy all lived happily lever after.
[20:21] <glyphgryph> More or less
[20:21] <Neris> Neris CX, Kaleb CX, Boggo CX and Taurach CX go on adventures.
[20:21] <Boggotaruach> Also Stiric.
[20:22] <Neris> Nah. He probably died with no legitimate children.
[20:22] <glyphgryph> Stiric ends up with a harem or something, happy to mooch off being related to the empress in his old age
[20:22] <Boggotaruach> Though most of the times he's sleeping.
[20:22] <@Kaleb> ...You know, 110 is a lot of generations. THat's like... 2000+ years in the future.
[20:22] <Neris> Well, every generation.
[20:22] <Neris> Every generation of Neris, Kaleb, and Boggo go on adventures.\
[20:23] <glyphgryph> Anyways, so the bulk of that was definitely epilogue level stuff
[20:23] <glyphgryph> Based off assumptions like your characters all living
[20:23] <glyphgryph> Which wasn't really guaranteed - I never pull punches
[20:23] <Boggotaruach> of course they did
[20:23] <@Kaleb> ...Wow. I JUST noticed what Neris' name is.
[20:23] <Boggotaruach> ....what?
[20:23] <Boggotaruach> The whole name?
[20:24] <Neris> Nerislyassa.
[20:24] <glyphgryph> Haha
[20:24] <Boggotaruach> Also Boggo survived like a dozen combat encounters with 1 health
[20:24] <Boggotaruach> nothing can kill him.
[20:24] <@Kaleb> No, just Neris. Neris. Look at it a few times.
[20:24] <glyphgryph> Neris = Siren
[20:24] <glyphgryph> Amiright?
[20:24] <Neris> Heheh.
[20:24] <Neris> I actually didn't notice that, but it fits pretty well doncha think?
[20:24] <glyphgryph> Heh
[20:24] <glyphgryph> Wonderful coincidence
[20:25] <Neris> Indeed.
[20:25] <Boggotaruach> hehe
[20:25] <@Kaleb> It's great. And a great name.
[20:25] <Neris> Indeed.
[20:27] <glyphgryph> Anyways
[20:27] <glyphgryph> So thats it
[20:27] <glyphgryph> Thats the whole thing
[20:27] <glyphgryph> More or less
[20:27] <Boggotaruach> D:
[20:27] <glyphgryph> Lots of ideas got tossed to the side, and probably never would have been used
[20:27] <Boggotaruach> I want MOAR
[20:27] <@Kaleb> **adds Nerislyassa Tariq II to character ideas for future games**
[20:28] <glyphgryph> Like some of the Artifacts I wanted to bring in but would never have fit in
[20:28] <glyphgryph> But that's for future stuff I guess.
[20:28] <Neris> Hell yeah.
[20:28] <Boggotaruach> HAMMER OF DANCING +5
[20:28] <Boggotaruach> HAMMERTIME
[20:29] <Neris> KNIFE OF SEDUCTION... IT'S A PRETTY KNIFE SHUSH YOU.
[20:29] <Boggotaruach> This was fun.
[20:29] <@Kaleb> Captain's Hat Of Sexiness +3!
[20:29] <Neris> Yes.
[20:29] <Neris> I'll miss Tuesdays.
[20:29] <Boggotaruach> Did I mention before this was my first serious RPG?
[20:29] <@Kaleb> I liked the part where we sunk an island.
[20:29] <Boggotaruach> I think I did.
[20:29] <Boggotaruach> But now I did it again.
[20:30] <Boggotaruach> You all took my virginity and all.
[20:30] <@Kaleb> I RPG all the time. I am an RPG whore.
[20:30] <Neris> Yes.
[20:30] <Boggotaruach> I liked the part where I stabbed a guy in the spine with his own torture needles.
[20:30] <Neris> 4 days out of my week are devoted to PnP RPGs.
[20:30] <Boggotaruach> while hanging suspended in the air.
[20:30] <Boggotaruach> being drained with blood.
[20:31] <Boggotaruach> of blood.
[20:31] <@Kaleb> Me, too, Neris.
[20:31] <@Kaleb> What else do you play?
[20:31] <Neris> Well, 4 now. Used to be 5.
[20:31] <Boggotaruach> a Rouge Trader session with Muffin
[20:31] <Boggotaruach> but that is all.
[20:31] <Boggotaruach> I mean Rogue.
[20:31] <@Kaleb> For me its... S M W S... So yeah,was 5, now 4.
[20:31] <Boggotaruach> Though Rouge Trader 40K would be an awesome game.
[20:31] <Neris> Well, I run The Riddle of Steel, I play in Rogue Trader and Black Crusade, and one of my friends runs stuff on Wednesdays.
[20:32] <Neris> Yes it would.
[20:32] <glyphgryph> This is my only active thing
[20:32] <glyphgryph> Or was, I should say
[20:32] <Boggotaruach> You go planet-to-planet trying to sell make-up to Orks.
[20:32] <Neris> It would be a parody of a parody.
[20:32] <Boggotaruach> And shoot things.
[20:32] <Neris> Mad Hatter Arch-Militant, Skeletor Explorator.
[20:32] <Boggotaruach> You should start up a Rouge Trader game Glyph.
[20:32] <glyphgryph> I'll probably pick up another Mafia game to run now... I got this great RP-heavy idea where the players are all republican nominees for the presidential election
[20:32] <@Kaleb> I've got a character for a Rogue Trader game that was supposed to start and never did.
[20:33] <glyphgryph> Except two are SECRET DEMOCRATS aka RHINOS
[20:33] <Boggotaruach> !!!
[20:33] <Neris> Oh my, do it glyph.
[20:33] <Neris> Do iiit.
[20:33] <Boggotaruach> I tried to get into Mafia but it needed to much posting.
[20:33] <glyphgryph> And they all take turns knocking it each other out of the race, but every "night", the RHINOs successfully launch a stealth add that destroys one of the real Republican nominees
[20:33] <Boggotaruach> Too much posting makes me sad and empty inside.
[20:34] <@Kaleb> ...Rhinos?
[20:34] <glyphgryph> Republicans in Name Only
[20:34] <@Kaleb> ...Is one of these stealth democrats named Colbert?
[20:34] <Boggotaruach> the COLBERT is immune to getting knocked out.
[20:34] <glyphgryph> Represented by the animal Rhino, obviously
[20:34] <glyphgryph> Well, none of them will be people
[20:35] <Boggotaruach> hehe.
[20:35] <glyphgryph> I want a Colbert equivalent though
[20:35] <Boggotaruach> DINO's are awesome.
[20:35] <glyphgryph> So I need an equally pretentious name
[20:35] <glyphgryph> Heheh
[20:36] <glyphgryph> Anywho, I had fun
[20:36] <glyphgryph> I'm gonna miss you guys
[20:36] <Neris> RHAINOES... THEY HIDE IN METAL BAWKSES! THE COWARDS! THE FOOOOLS!
[20:36] <Boggotaruach> I'm gonna miss you too glypher
[20:36] <Neris> Yeah, I'll miss you too, glyph. Well, I'll see you around the forums and stuff, but still.
[20:37] <@Kaleb> BTW, Neris, you got some sort of messenger program I can reach you on in case I want to poke you about something in the futur?
[20:37] <Boggotaruach> you can always pm me if you need a loyal but not-that-talented rpeer for a future game
[20:37] <glyphgryph> Heh, you've been great
[20:37] <glyphgryph> I will
[20:38] <Neris> Well, I have a Steam account.
[20:38] <@Kaleb> I am on steam. What's your account name?
[20:38] <Neris> NewsMuffin.
[20:38] <Neris> I use that name a lot.
[20:38] <Boggotaruach> hehehe
[20:39] <@Kaleb> Invite sent.
[20:39] <glyphgryph> :*(
[20:40] <Neris> Sad face...
[20:40] <Boggotaruach> you have some kind of bug under your eye glyph
[20:40] <Boggotaruach> looks like a tick.
[20:40] <glyphgryph> Ohno!
[20:40] <glyphgryph> GETITOFFGETITOFF
[20:40] <Boggotaruach> you should probably get that off it.
[20:40] * glyphgryph flails around randomly
[20:40] <glyphgryph> *tsssss*
[20:40] <glyphgryph> KABOOM
[20:40] <glyphgryph> (It was a sticky grenade)
[20:40] <Neris> OH GOD HE WAS A CREEPER THE WHOLE TIME
[20:40] <glyphgryph> LMAO

[20:54] <glyphgryph> Hey, Neris
[20:54] <glyphgryph> Can you do me one last favour?
[20:54] <Neris> Hm?
[20:54] <Neris> What do you need?
[20:56] <glyphgryph> You came in at the perfect time
[20:56] <glyphgryph> Just before I posted the full plot
[20:56] <glyphgryph> Can you copy paste this into the thread?
[20:56] <Neris> Alright.
[20:56] <glyphgryph> So the other players can refer to it?
[20:56] <glyphgryph> Cool, thanks!
[20:56] <Neris> The entire log, or just the plot stuff?
[20:56] <glyphgryph> Entire log from when you came is in fine
[20:56] <Neris> Alright.
[20:56] <glyphgryph> 90% of it is plot stuff
[20:57] <Neris> Yeah.
[20:57] <Neris> Alright. It's been nice playing with you, man.
[20:57] <Neris> Seriously, you ever need another player, any of us would be willing.
[20:58] <glyphgryph> Thanks, I'll keep it in mind
[20:58] <Neris> Alright.
[20:58] <glyphgryph> Though you've already got a pretty full plate
[20:58] <glyphgryph> You ever run a game of Paranoia, let me know
[20:58] <Neris> Well, it's not like I do much else anyway.
[20:58] <glyphgryph> Heheh
[20:58] <Neris> Alright, I'll look into it.
[20:58] <glyphgryph> I could have you a full play group in two hours
[20:58] <glyphgryph> notice
[20:58] <glyphgryph> For that
[20:59] <Neris> Heh.
[20:59] <Neris> Anyway, see ya around, I'm going to see if I can get some sleep.
[20:59] <Neris> I'll post the log before I head off, though.
