Good times were had!

I have been wondering, though, does Kaleb traverse these regions of the Grand Connect?

He does not, I pulled him in from somewhere else because I needed another reliable player. :P

What did you guys do today? If it wasn't freeing a group of prisoners from captivity single handedly while being stuck in a cage, I don't think its as cool.

Boggolito, and NPC giant Thraddash (I can never get his name right). We are to be stuffed into pots and sacrificed to their dark gods, because for some reason them lizards took offence to us killing their brothers, and collecting their heads. Luckily for me, Bd's revolution is in need of a general. ;D

Of course I am! There's so many more reliable people on the outside!

(And Strife, I'm sorry, you were reliable before deciding that serving your country in a war overseas was more important than a game on the internet! :P )

But yes, Stiric spent the session breaking out of a pokemon prison in his reincarnation as a mudkip, and Darvi and Kaleb and Boggo walked into a into the isolated island city with the heads of several slaughtered civilians strapped to their beetle, ending with them pinning pretty much all the blame on Boggo so he is now in jail.

This is actually the beggining of a new personal goal - at least one player will be incarcerated at both the beginning and end of each session for the rest of the campaign. By the time this is over, you will be masters of escaping from prison, rivaled only by your ability to get captured and locked in them.

It's only my own fault, all things considered. I really wish that I could still play.

Well I have been incarcerated at my very first session so I feel confident in my ability not to get thrown into the slammer again.

What sort of specializations would you like?

You could consider a cultural/racial specialization (or some other group affiliation) which would give you bonuses when dealing with members of that group.

Potentially more useful, you could take a situation specialization, which gives you a bonus in certain situations - Mediator gives a bonus when working as a go between for two other parties, Peacekeeper would make you more likely to convince an enemy to stand down from hostilities, Diplomatic Immunity would let you talk your way out of various crimes, that sort of thing.

Not particularly relevant at the moment, but you could also purchase Connections - most social skills allow you to essentially purchase a powerful NPC as an ally or benefactor as a specialization.

And finally, a special ability related to something else to give you a roll you normally wouldn't get. For example, Pep Talk (Success gives allies a +1 circumstance bonus in combat for the next several minutes) or Sleuth Diplomacy, which would  allow you to make a difficult diplomacy check (vs8) before attacking. Beating that would give you a +2 bonus to your next crossbow attack, as you channel your rapier wit into a devastating attack.
(Essentially, you'd be launching a well timed insult, comment, one-liner or distraction, either giving you an opening or improving your own morale).
