Urist are you a fricking hulk? can you lift 300lbs?

We don't need those rules, next you might as well have the government start doping their soldiers.

What are you talking about? I didn't even mention interrogation?
Because Muslim extremists pretty much never surrender to women. And in this kind of war we need to interrogate people to get information.
This is the point we were arguing before you derailed it with your "I don't need any evidence, I'm just right" attitude.

Not only that but lifting heavy things does not make you a bodybuilder.
But the weights you suggested most definitely do.  My point is that lifting that much won't be very helpful and will waste a lot of training time.

Seriously, if you crash a light vehicle into water (AKA humvees and the sort.) just wait for the pressure on both sides of the door and you'll get out easier. Or have something made for smashing glass on-hand.

They won't interrogate people in the field. Lifting heavy stuff does not make you a bodybuilder. I cannot stress that enough. What? Two hour training sessions three days a week? Just cut out some running.

Lifting 300 lbs isn't very impressive. I can't, I am also very small and am attempting to get bigger.

Humvee's aren't exactly light vehicles...

Then drop a hundred pounds off my estimation. And you sure do sound like one rough customer.

Compared to the army's heavier armoured vehicles they are light.

Have you studied any military tactics recently?

A soldier needs endurance more than strength. We need the running in there.

Just because it is lighter than a tank doesn't make it light.

Two hours less of running won't make soldiers fat. They will have to run if they want to keep a job. So they will.

A good minimum amount of strength would be 300 pound squat, 400 pound deadlift, 200 pound bench and 150(?) pound press. These are all very achievable goals especially for healthy lads like the infantry.

In kilos these would be 136.4 kg, 181.8 kg,90.9 kg, and 68.2 kg in the same order of appearance.

You still don't understand, a soldier is someone that is gone for months from home, he/she needs endurance to stay energize in his/her time out. Strength does not expand your energy reserves, it just burns it a bit more efficiently.

That’s quite frankly silly Urist. Not only is that a silly goal, sometimes over twice as much as I would put for the army, but you got your squats and deadlifts reversed, deadlifts are harder then squats.

Has anyone bothered to point out to Urist that he's derailed his own thread from "Women shouldn't be in the military" to "The military's requirements should be so high no woman recognizable as such can join?"
