Women In The Infantry

Well, it seems women may be appearing in US infantry units. What's your take?

Now, I have made a thread similar to this, (about feminism, specifically), and we ended up with a circumcision thread, please don't do that. And please, if someone gives their view on the subject, don't get mad, its the internet.

My take? Who cares?

Specially since it is not like wars are about two thousand guys wrestling in the mud.

My take: Why is this even a thing? This is 2011. Why wouldn't they be?

Wait, there are different takes on this?
I thought everyone unanimously agreed that a women's place is in the kitchen.
Oh god, Vector, please don't kill me. I'm just kidding!

But seriously, what takes are there on this?

One of my aunts is a radio operator in the Canadian military, and has been deployed on peacekeeping assignments worldwide. She has a lot of interesting stories to tell. I believe women are fully capable of holding their own in combat situations.

I wonder how the media would react when women start giving birth in the battlefield and start using their babies as literal human shields?

Despite the popular consensus, there is indeed more than one take on this.

While it stabbs military 'tradition' in the liver, I don't really care.

Most likely bad because public employees are suppose to get 12 weeks parental leave.
