Yes! Sorry... lots of juggling to work out all these requests. I didn't think this would be so popular. :P

I'll do it first-come-first-served, so you will certainly be in one of the first beam escorts for the first survey fleet.

Ahah, I'm now a Commodore, leading most of humanity's fleet! Does that command ship has a flag bridge? If no, I suggest adding one, as it would let us have a survey specialist to boost our surveying.

All of our civilian leaders that have mining bonuses have been assigned to mining colonies with largest bonuses matched up with largest mining output for the biggest benefit. The others don't have mining bonuses so I didn't see a point in assigning them.

A small suggestion that you don't build up too big of a military. You have no enemies (for now) and from past experience warships suck too many resources while sitting idly.

Yeah, but warships need training both of crews and as working in fleets to be effective.  May want a small, elite fleet, fully trained just in case.

Although, research tends to make the fleet obsolete fairly quickly, so large fleets tend to be ineffective.

I like missiles.  No matter how old a ship is, firing more missiles is always an advantage.

Because this way they're only 700 tons and incredibly fast between survey points. Fuel isn't an issue, and even with military drives they have an estimated 8 years before failure. The survey command ship has enough maintenance supplies to rebuild them each 20 times.

2nd September, 2019 - Professor Explodington has been reassigned to developing the newest iteration of our laser point defense system. At the base of the weapon is the 12cm C4 NUV Laser Emitter, currently in development. The emitter weighs over 200 tons and requires a 40 man crew to operate and maintain. We estimate that development of the emitter itself will require the better part of a month. Once completed, we will mount two emitters into a turret chassis in the lab for test firing and missile trials.

We have begun another phase of technological updates from conventional industry to TN-compliant facilities. 100 fighter factories, fuel refineries, and ordnance factories are in the works along with 500 new mines and construction factories.

2nd December, 2019 - After extensive testing, the "Twin 12cm C4 Near Ultraviolet Laser Turret" has been developed to a working model and cleared for level 2 missile trials. Production status should be attained March 2020, and the final plans for the Cornwallis survey command ship will be complete at that time. Portsmouth Orbital yard is still undergoing capacity expansion to accommodate the Cornwallis.

2nd January, 2020 - TK Isfahan and TK Karachi have been completed at the Kawasaki Heavy Industried orbital yard. They have joined Survey Fleet and await orders.

Conversion jobs of conventional industry to fighter factories, fuel refineries and Ordnance Factories have completed. Industrial upgrades now proceeding on deep core mining platforms.


That is an impressive weapon!  It sure beats the Gauss Turrets I typically use.
Thanks! I over-engineered it a bit on purpose, both to give it room to grow as my fire control tech improves and so that it could serve as a ship to ship weapon if the need arises. The turret alone weighs in at 550 tons and probably looks like a small apartment building with 80 crew servicing the weapon. Fire control + turret weigh more than my survey cutters' 700 tons! :)

The last piece of the puzzle is the jump drive, which I'm still working on researching to a manageable size. Both the squadron size and efficiency research will complete in 2020, so the Cornwallis will be done then and I'll know how big to make my primary naval yard.
