Okay. this is a complete free-former. no rules. make shit up as you go along. Me? i'll jus' sit here and watch it unfold. and write the starting scene.

You all find yourselves in the middle of a US ghost town. a tumbleweed rolls by. far away, you can hear airplanes. from one of the roofs, you can hear the chittering of the monkey of doom.

Hugh Briss steps forth and uses his magic powers to clear the land of rifle-armed ragamuffins.

That goddamned monkey won't stop chittering.

"Make it stop!"

Blane steps beside Hugh and takes a long pull from his cigar, before spitting to the ground.

"Times have changed boyo, times have changed...  These war drums just won't stop beating".

Blane pulls out his magnum .44, and spins the chamber hard.   It spins around a bunch, but then he cocks it up stopping it instantly.

He points it at the monkey.

*click*

He spins it around again...

[Phantom]

Daniel the OMON Operative sighs.

"Can you stop screwing around and just shoot the bugger already?"

"I have a feeling this one's good" Blane says.

POWWWW!

Smoke shoots out of his barrel and the room starts to smell the accustomed smell of gunpowder.

The monkey was hit right in the centre of mass, but nothing changes.  The monkey keeps at it.

"Sonovva..." He pauses..  "Not even death stops these fucking things anymore."

[Phantom]

"Wait, really?" Daniel unslings the AN-94 from his shoulder, aims in, and fires at the monkey. Most of the shots either hit it or graze, but the monkey remains unfazed.

"What the crap?"

"Only way my old lady was able to catch some rest towards the end was if I burried them.  They still showed up again every morning though.  Just touching 'em gave me the heebeejeebees.  Something ain't right about it all."

Blane spits on the ground and sticks his cigar back in his mouth.

[Phantom]

"Sir, this town gives me the creeps. So does the monkey, I think I'll take my way out."

Daniel slings his rifle and begins walking east, in hopes of finding an unlocked vehicle with keys in it or another sign of life besides this group. He whistles the Cortex Command Guitar Solo as he walks.

Plenty of vehicles are around, most weather beaten.  Daniel peaks around for any with keys but no such luck.

Blane walks outside, his wrinkled and weather-beaten skin almost crinkling as he makes his first steps in the hot sun..  He ducks his authentic cowboy hat under the doorway and mutters.. "oh kid...   The cars would all work fine here, if any fuel got sent up here this past month."   Blane sits back and remembers as the price of gas kept rising how it became pretty much impractical for anyone except for the rich to drive, and the rich all got out of this old city, Tippanawki, years back.

[Phantom]

"Chyort, and when the hell did we even get here, anyway?"

Daniel continues spelunking, breaking into buildings and the such.

[Fniff]

Blankey kicks down the door of a store, looking for something. He had been on the team for several years, but no-one knew why. He just showed up one day out of the blue, looking for something. Some of the time he talked. He was a very strange man. Just looking for that something.

"I always likeeeed the wooooooooooooooorld!" He begins to sing tunelessly and loudly. Blankey is a terrible singer. 

"IT ALWAYS GAVE ME GUNS AND AMMMMOOOOOOOOOOO!" After that, he doo-dad his way through the song. In his random dancing, he kicked over something odd. He grabbed it, and looked at it.

"Hey fellas!" He shouted. "I got a present for you! It's a birthday! Let's get our party hats!"
