[Phantom]

Daniel blinks after he finished dragging Blane to follow Blankey.

"Where's my helmet? Where the hell is my helmet!?"

Without any forethought or caution, Daniel rushes back outside to grab it, hoping the flock isn't still there.

[Fniff]

"The monkey is over, but the war is far from done." Blankey said to Blane, with a knowing look.

"That guy said a bad word." Oprah said.

"Oh...  What's your name little girl?"

Blane cycles through his memory.   He has never seen her before in all his many years here in Tippanawki.

What would a six year old child be doing in a run down almost completely deserted town what with all the events of this world gone past?

Suddenly, the child begins to chitter!

[Fniff]

"Oprah Sunny. My mummy and I live here. She hasn't come back from getting something..." Oprah drifted off, then got back into her thing, "And then Mister Space Knight came!"

It isn't the child... An insect comes out of her hair.

[Phantom]

And if one listens, the sound of cawing outside can be pierced by cries of help.

[Hubris Incalculable]

"Huh? Who's Mister Space Knight?" Hugh begins, but a thought forms itself. "Oh. right. Blankey."

[Fniff]

Blankey's eyes enlargen. A call for help. He opened the trapdoor and found a floor, a bunch of birds and Daniel being pecked. The birds must have eaten through the walls. blanket pulls Daniel in.

[Phantom]

They've eaten his combat gloves, along with the sling for his rifle.

"Th-those fucking demons, they've been following me for THREE DAYS..."

One can still hear the radio transmissions coming through on Daniel's helmet radio, but they are ignored by said owner.

[Fniff]

"Fucking Hell Jim! I trust you with the seating plan for one day...Arg!" Blankey sat down. Oprah giggled.

"Space Knight said a bad word..." Noted Oprah.

[Hubris Incalculable]

"Three Hells, Daniel, what were you doing out there, anyway?"

[Phantom]

"I, I needed my helmet."

Daniel gestures towards said helmet with radio on it, the transmissions being more muffled than usual.

"The monkey is over, but the war is far from done." Blankey said to Blane, with a knowing look.

Blane looks back with a blank expression.  His eyes suddenly flash with a glint of mixed understanding and confusion.  How did he...

"Hello Miss Sunny, how do you do?" he says, tipping the brim of his hat and trying to crack a smile to mask his inner monologue.

Then the chittering begins.  It sounds like its coming from right out of Oprah's mouth.  Blane starts to shake, and his hand rolls over to his .44.

cries of help.

Blane looks to Blankey, then back to Oprah.  An insect...

"Mister Space knight's going to be right back Miss Sunny, right Blankey?" He says, nodding at him.  "Now I'll just get that little bug off of you okay missy?" he says as he takes a step towards the girl.

He reaches over and tries to bat it to the ground, his hand shaking more and more as it approaches, almost withering and cracking before his eyes.

[Fniff]

"The seating plan... Agh! Harold is so terrible at it!" Blankey stamped on the ground in frustration. He then grabbed the helmet, retuned the frequency and handed it back to Daniel.

When the coordinates came on, Blankey said that the coordinates led to Zachery Farm, two miles from here.

[Phantom]

Daniel reaches over to his Makarov should Blane ever actually pull out that .44, he saw that hand movement quite readily.

"Blane, don't even try it. Just get that bug off her..."

Meanwhile, at Courtland AFB...

"That was fruitless. Hrm..."

Aleksandr moves out and finds an abandoned Military Jeep, and uses it to find said farm after somehow obtaining coordinates.
