"No. No. NO!

This can't be happening! I was in a combat drop on the other side of the world, for gods sake! It was January 27th, the year 2000! I CAN'T BE HERE!"

He frantically tries to push various items into a crude barricade, but he finally gives up and sits in a corner.

"What the daemon, Blankey? Where'd you grow some sense? oh well..."

Hugh picks up a table, and covers the window, and searches around for a hammer with a claw attatchment.

Blane goes down on one knee, covering himself with his long western trench-coat.

He puts his cigar out in the sand while laying rest to his walking stick, holsters his handgun, and feels deep into the sand with both hands.

The pills he swallowed start to take effect and he begins to feel numb all over.

"What have you got to tell me dunes?"

"what do you..........."

Blane goes into a trance and has a vision.....

(fill in the blank plz)

In the vision...

Forest. Never ending forest. Quiet, dark, unending forest...

(You know what...  We can do both.  I'm re-validating my post.   The airbase and you get the signal as per mine, though the signal gets intercepted up the chain by Fniff's)

There is a crack in the ground, leading endlessly down. On the other side, endless industrial land, smoke filling in for air. The sky there, is black with soot.

(Catch the reference and win!)

Courtland AFB

Sole survivor, eh? Hidden in a backroom near the control tower for now?

Yes, yes you are, Specialist Aleksandr. How was your mission to Bosnia?

Damn painful, it was. At least I still have my uniform and Vepr. Wait, you hear chittering, what could that be?

Blane sees two soft red eyes glowing in the woods.

They beckon him.

Swallow coo'ing, his mother's voice, words that he just can't make out yet.

He tries to walk, but instead floats.  He gets closer.  He goes right over the crack to the centre of the earth, and feels a warm breeze coming up.

He hears....
