.18 and the Newest Version
« on: April 09, 2011, 09:24:37 pm »

I'm thinking of going from 31.18 to the newest version. Are there any major differences between the two I should know about?
Other than eggs, grazing, and mineral scarcity; I know about those.

It should be fine; you'll get the mechanics improvements for old things but none of the new ones, obviously.

The one thing I will regret about the update is grazing. Other than that, it is win.

No more farm flooding, PRAISE TOADY!

.19 added yarn. If you don't want an occasional impossible mood, go in to your save's raws and add [YARN] to the silk definition.

They can spit at you. Yes

They can't. Also, use sheep then.

...I have to mod in a spit attack for llamas, maybe even give them some syndrome they'd cause with their extract...

What?! Who dares speak against grazing? Grazing is awesome!  Herds of tigers guarding entrances, with some raw editing, herds of trogs defending your deep entrance. No ropes!

Because tigers are herbivores, right? Oh wait... logic. This is DF. ::)

Are tigers grazers?  :-\

That'd be stupid

.25 is soooooo nice. Some new stuff for new headaches, but the older bugs for the reliable things removed, also better options on menu screens
