So, I downloaded the latest version, hit prepare carefully!, only to find no option for dogs, war dogs, cats, etc., and no dwarven rum and sweet pod seeds.

Thats because you hit "Enter to Play Now!"

If you hit SPace at that screen instead, you can customize your starting equipment and party. The wiki has lots of imformation on what sorts of things you can start with.

By "start now", I meant "Prepare carefully".

I can here to post this.

The orig. post is right dude. Axes, picks, plump helms, etc show up on the left as they always have but the dogs and cats on the right dont show up.

Whats worse is if you push left, then nothing is highlighted (whereas normally you'd be in the animal side) and if you push + or -, like trying to buy animals, the game crashes!

PS:

Rum and sweet pods are still there but it isnt possible to buy ANY dogs or cats, since they dont show up in the 'n' menu. I guess the game thinks they are already displayed, despite being invisible and crashy.
