Ultimately the system we have now is fine, it's just needs a lot of few improvements. A true Utopia would require everyone agreeing on something, and that would be impossible short of drastic measures.

Us marxists have NEVER claimed communism is a utopia. The motive to work is collective benefit. As well as enjoyment of work, people get very bored when there unemployed for a reason.

My utopia government would be a sort of Green Techno-Agrarian Libertarian Municipalistic confederation. Where a "confederation of free municipalities" replace the state, each one with it's own local government with free elections etc. Technology would have to have as little negative impact on the environment as possible, concentrating on prolonging human life... I sound like the fecking unibomber, better stop.
