I think Lizards lay their eggs pretty quickly, and tend to lay multiple ones.  Like srsly, bearded dragons can lay over 100 eggs in one sitting with like 70 of them hatching.

x lets say 30 females

= 2100 offspring.

Or if its more like a gecko then they only lay a few, more like 5 with 4 of them hatching.

so x 30 females

= 120 offspring.

Either way we have a pretty good following coming up here!

So time skip until we have a family of matured offspring, then head out for another adventure?

Or alternatively, time skip to the future where one of our kids starts to rise as the heir of our legacy, and takes our place as legendary warlord.

Maybe time skip one year when you have your hundreds of hatchings (AND ARE STILL ALPHA MALE, HAVE ANOTHER ROUND OF EGGS FERTILIZED), and the Tongues come back for their feast with NEWS FROM AFAR.

All while militarizing your community, so you are highly trained and have a larger arsenal of weapons and greater skills using them.
