I thought b12 had a reputation for it's ability to derail faster then any other forum ever known, but it also has the unique trait that it can maintain intellectual integrity during a derail.

Isn't our record like 2 posts after the OP? It was some thing in the upper forums, and I'm pretty sure it was derailed to giraffes or something odd like that.

Most other forums takes PAGES to derail. Pff.

Our record, if I remember correctly, is next post after the OP. And eventually we'll have the OP derail himself and reach the Higgins-Bozone Quandry. We will never be able to get smaller but also get infinitely smaller infinitely smaller as time progresses.

This was (and is) fun to read. Honestly I almost got derailed a few times to cover a few side topics brought up, but held back.

So what I'm getting so far, in approximate order of importance :

- relaxed attitude of users (including over censorship and controversial topics)
- filter for intelligence (or patience) by the nature of the game
- super powers from Toady
- the awesomeness of the users
- professionalism from Toady
- moderators with powerful ban hammers that aren't afraid to use them
- A history of a far far worse forum that was deleted in a god-like rage

Welcome to the New Testament Bay-12 Forums. Or at least after Nyu's Arc (IE- The Age of Cats; which I think was after the Age of Penguins). Just as well, Janet would be the Blessed Mother that helped birth the messianic HAPPY thread. After that, the forums have gained more peace, and apostles have formed to keep order to the forums.

Are there any prophets or desciples that are scribes with better knowledge of the history of Bay-12?
