Never tried. Why 3x7?
There might be some good biomes, we can get the volcano splat in the middle, 3.5 (local) tiles are good range for ballistae, and it's just fun  :P
It's all one biome, except the ocean.

also of note: the aquifer will (probably?) be salty, just sayin'

hmm, 8x5 would get us volcano and a tiny bit of ocean if I'm reading that right. I take it the swamp is to the north?

Either way, Volcano is a wonderful idea. :) Very dwarfy, gives you access to things like magma smelters and such.
9x5, and yeah, on the next region tile.
I think 9x5 is too big...

Yeah, just figuring out which dwarf should be who and spending the 209 spare embark points.

EDIT: Fortress has been named "Mistmatched", Sôddalzat. Dwarvish doesn't seem to have the word "miss".
EDIT2: Group is "The Whiskered Steel", Rikkirdeler.

well it is a volcano after all. I'd say put the entrance right where the wagon is now. one of the bigger flat spots there for pasture. start taking away some ramps nearby and tunneling inward. If there's soil there, you might even consider channeling down the next level up, to increase the outside grass. I'm not used to playing vanilla DF with no graphic set, so hard to tell what material that wall is.
