If the tea party said that if the Tea Party actual was the racist, bigoted, sexist, astroturf movement some claim to be, and they hold a march to demonstrate 1+1=2, are they right about every thing else?

And if the Free Food Party consisted only of a picture-perfect mix of ages, genders, ethnicities and creeds all united by an altruistic desire to give free food to the hungry, but they hold that 1+1=3, are they wrong about everything else?

They would be correct that 1+1=2. If racism, bigotry, sexism, etc., are wrong, then they would also be wrong if they are also those things.

The astroturf thing doesn't really matter.  It's just really, really annoying when people go on and on about it being a grassroots movement as if it validates their movement when it isn't even that.

"Racist, bigoted, sexist" could be a much bigger issue, considering that you should judge a group on what it is, rather than what it says it is.
