Just curious about what the ratio is around here.

Edit: Due to where this thread is taking itself, it's now about the Tea Party movement and its validity.

You can: argue to your heart's content.

You Can't:
Make insults about others without reasoning or evidence. Attack principles, not people. Don't try me on this, malice has no place here.

To quote South Park, it doesn't matter who you vote for because either way, it's between a douche and a turd.

I feel like choosing the foreignerz option even though I'm a US citizen. It is the closest option to my political leanings, which are probably best described as non-participatory.

Well, actually, yeah it is a real political party.  Michele Bachman is the first member of the Tea Party Caucus in congress.  Now I know that doesnt by itself constitute a political party, but with all things considered and how large a chunk of the US now identifies itself as a member of the tea party, to not include it in this pole is a mistake.

Here, your first vote for that party:

I am a member of the Tea Party.  Former Republican.  Former Independant.  Former Democrat.  Former Republican.  In that order.

Heck, lol, in 1988 I went to college and joined the Young Republicans and "got out the vote" for Bush 1.  Next year I got into weed and LSD and became a Democrat hippy.  ahhh, college.

The Tea party is, for all we care, part of the Republican party. If you REALLY must say you are part of them, just pick Republican.

Not voting just seems like a way to shirk responsibility. Yeah the options usually suck, but if you don't pick SOMETHING you barely retain the right to complain about any current issues. In fact, you may as well be saying "I love everything that happens regardless of what it is".

Here's the list of parties that I'd use.

Republican
Weak Republican
Democrat
Weak Democrat
Green
Libertarian
Independent
Disaffected

I am, as per usual, the right leaning independent semi-disaffected.

Or, you know, the THIRD option.

So, are you stating that as the official position of the Bay 12 Forums?

No, I am not picking republican, because I plan on helping get a lot of those bums thrown outta office in 2012 and 2014 also, right along side some their Democrat corruptocrat pals.
