I found out why the elves are such hippies!

It's so obvious! You know how the elves have tons upon tons of "Rope Reed"? The rope reed must be pot! Pot can be used to make rope, clothing and medicine, so that must also be why they live so long!

It's so clear now!

Well you know what that means, right?

Gather all your rope reed goods in one room.

Light 'er up.

Put unhappy dwarves in that room. They'll quit caring about everything within minutes.

... Or burn to death.

Either way, it'll change their life.

I think it has lead in it, too. Explains how they're so short and cannot figure out which side of a wall to build on.

Vomiting, kidney damage, headaches, memory loss, etc... Might as well make it general minor/moderate necrosis of everything internal.

I've been using my Lead (from my thousands of Galena ore) to make Booze barrels, yes.
