This tag basically hardcodes hostility into them, so they will always be hostile with other civilizations.

Nope, since (as i mentioned) they did send a snatcher. That was like, a whole year ago or something. I've stationed dogs at the entrance, though i'm pretty sure that gob's are too dumb to incorporate that in their supremely complex entrance calculations.

@Jordrake: Maybe. But then again, they do make nice goo for lava lamps. Also, we all know that goblins only have one profitable use: Goblinite.

Anyhoo, no progress so far. I'm on my laptop right now (can't fall asleep wah wah), so i reckon that at least 15 hours (sleep + school etc) will pass before anything does happen. Meanwhile, i shall think of some clever contraption that combines magma, cave-ins and an angry badger. (i bought a badger from the elves, so i must find a good use for it!)

Mind posting the seed or save? Since there are some who've been trying to get peaceful gobbos...

Yeah sure, though i'm not entirely sure on whether they actually are peaceful. They did show up as ----- on the embark screen, though i've only had a single snatcher so far. In my earlier fort with ----- gob's, i was SWARMED with silly snatchers.

What can i do to restore war with them ? My bloodthirsty military won't get through an other year without !!FUN!! !

My fort is 26 years old, now, i get a goblin raid (4 squads i'll say) on almost every trade caravan visit, but no siege for now 

Goblins neither send diplomats nor trade caravans in my fortress. Snatchers from time to time and ambushes on a really regular base.

Is there any way to force them at war with me, like by editing save or a memory hacking mod ?
Life is less bright without goblin sieges !

If they are sending ambushes they aren't at peace with you.

And speaking of this thread, i found out that they most certainly aren't at peace with me. It was ALL AN ILLUSION to lull me into a false sense of security. That being said though, their sieges were dinkier than little chinese teacups.

I'm not sure the war status indication on the civilization screen is all that accurate anymore.  I have a current fortress where the elves are showing as being at peace with me, yet they still send ambush waves every spring.

I confirm i am at peace with "The blanketed evil" but those little bastard keep sending ambushes.

But they do worse, they don't siege me.

At Bellsphrase I'm on my second reclaim. The goblin spearmen who were our doom last go-round have been hanging about, friendly, for years now. They're like goblin mercenaries, helping fight off goblin ambushes and fb's.
