Hey guys,

Got a strange urge today to try and model the pumps in DF. Anyway... It ended up being quite a challenge in design terms. My goals were roughly:

Function the same as the DF one does.
Include a chamber for the cork screw. (I ended up with a short wide screw rather than a long narrow one.)
Be manually operable.
Be able to transfer energy when stacked.
Have one half passable.
Be proportional (it's a 2:1)

Hopefully this was going to give me something that was conceptually legal.

Anyway my result:

Just noticed...it's missing a gearbox lever to switch the drive shaft direction. Deep failure.

I understand that, that is what I investigated at first. But I felt that they don't fit the constraints the game puts on them.

It's nicley rendered, but looks rather hightech... which programm did you use?
