Modding names?
« on: April 07, 2011, 10:27:26 am »

Is it possible to change how names are chosen?

I know about the language raws that have a list of words that get compounded together, but is there a way to change the default naming pattern of <word> <word-word>?  For instance, what if I want all my dwarfs to have just a first name and no last name?  Or if I want them to all have the same last name?  Is this possible or is it hard-coded?

That's hardcoded, no way for us to alter it.

You know, they could teach maths like this at school. "There are 105 dwarves in a settlement. A goblin invasion appears and 67 die. Then a migrant wave..."

You can change which symbols are used.  Look on the wiki for [SELECT_SYMBOL]

I think that was the one anyways.  I have desert people with all-fire names.
