2nd Moonstone
The liaison is back for my recommendation.

It seems that last year the obvious choice eluded me entirely. I tell them to make me the baron.

6th Moonstone
The mayor has mandated... coins. ... Okay?

10th Moonstone
We're officially a barony.

17th Moonstone
I just finished his coins and now he wants silver crap. Ugh.

3rd Opal

We probably shouldn't export any figurines, by the way. Just a thought.

I know we don't have any, but, you know, if we ever make them, we might want to, well, keep them here. For security reasons.

21st Opal
The mayor has banned exporting amulets, as well. Do we even have any of those?

22nd Opal
A planter got possessed!

1st Obsidian
I totally forgot about him. Whoops. Well, he grabbed his stuff and got started, so it ended well, at least.

6th Obsidian

Pretty nice, I'd say. With a picture of a named shield on it, it's pretty obvious that it goes to the dwarf who holds said shield.

19th Obsidian
Goblins are trying to siege us.

25th Obsidian
There were a good five squads of a dozen each, but we routed them right quick. Crunch. Now to claim the goblinite.

Spring has arrived!

1st Granite, 206
We'll be busy for once, picking up all the individual bolts and arrows... Still, it'd be nice if someone could pick up Salverope's slack and we could continue our metal industry.

End-of-year report
Wealth: 2789852☼ created, 290737☼ imported, 93243☼ exported
Orders: 2 mandates met of 2 made this season, 2 trade bans in place
Trading: No caravans arrived this season

fuck im falling down all this wealth......... The latest artifact explains 300k, but where'd the rest come from? At first I thought it might be a certain pet project of mine, but apparently that thing's only worth 50k.

If nobody volunteers to reclaim Salverope soon, I'll start it. A reclaim/succession/DFTA triple clusterfuck would have been epic dwarvenly, but if I'm the only one interested in this, I guess I'll be the only one to do it.

We have til Tuesday to finish this year right?

I'm also interested in reclaiming Salverope, but I have a ton of projects to finish this weekend first, so haven't made a commitment.

Scaldedabbeys Year 5, Summer Report

A fisherdwarf was possessed and took over a craftsdwarf shop or something. I wasn't really paying attention. Too busy rigging elections so I can be the mayor as well as the duke. I heard he went mad and simply mopes around the dining room refusing to eat or drink.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The elven traders left and the humans came later. All they had for me was some more caged animals and a bit of cheese.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
They didn't bring any of the usual mountains of cloth and leather because of the furniture shortage, leaving a lot of us unemployed.
As for mandates, we completed the nest boxes and crutches mandates and recieved a new one to make green glass items. Since our jewelers were busy cutting the green glass we made last year and encrusting our furniture with it anyways, it was easy to meet that one.

End-of-season report
Wealth: 1,371,097 (~91,061)

So RTiger, what do you think of us four reclaiming Salverope?

It would be more fun if an outsider did the reclaim. I sure can't. Too busy

Scaldedabbeys Year 5, Autumn Report

That crazy fisherdwarf died from thirst after refusing to drink or eat anything. I had no time to worry about suicidal fools. Not with the enemy upon us once again and the militia commander being no where to be found! Where the hell is he?
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Oh...so the dwarf I blamed for the failed aluminum mandate happens to be the militia commander too? Shit.

I told the militia to just charge the goblins and kill them. Kill them with their weapons. The militia charged out the gate towards the goblin lashers in the north.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
But then I noticed the leader of the goblin squad across the river in the east had a crossbow. He could shoot all our milking animals at will!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I ordered half the squads charging at the lashers to change their course and gather on the other side of the bridge in order to deal with that threat.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
But then ANOTHER goblin squad in the west started slaughtering all our livestock on that side. So I yelled at the militia to do something about it but by that point everyone was confused. Some dwarves fought, others charged in the wrong direction, and some simply stood around scratching their beards. Argh what a mess that was, I'm surprised no one got killed. Except for all our poor livestock of course.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The militia finally got their act together and routed both the northern and western goblin squads. The goblin squad across the river in the east ran away but not after having stuck a bunch of bolts in the animals on that side. I think we lost about a dozen animals in that attack. Good thing I had requested the DTA to bring us more animals last year. We were able to replace our losses when the dwarven caravan came.

End-of-season report
Wealth: 1,363,210 (~83,174)
Mandates: 1 aluminum mandate failed
Siege: crushed

Scaldedabbeys Year 5, Winter Report

Those goblins just never give up! They came back again with the same amount of guys as the last attack. Two squads across the river and one from the northwest.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
One squad was entirely made up of archers and they shot all the animals to shit and a poor farmer before we could react. The militia commander split everyone into three equal groups and they attacked all the goblin squads at the same time.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I can't believe no one fell off the narrow bridge in the south. They managed to cover the whole thing in blood however. The battle went much better than last time. Everyone was doing what they were suppose to do, but no one noticed that three goblins had broken away from the main pack to slaughter all our animals in the southwest. Bah, I counted another dozen dead livestock after the battle was over. One soldier was wounded and a smith had gone insane. Apparently she had been stricken by a mood but I was too focused on the battle to meet her demands. Now we have another dwarf moping around the dining hall refusing to eat or drink.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

End-of-season report
Wealth: 1,525,554 (~245,518)
Mandates: none
Siege: crushed...again...
