I was just playing it. My sadistic thirsts are quenched for a short time.

How comes nobody has mentioned Soldier of Fortune (1/2)? They are old but they were REALLY violent for their times.

I have SoF 2. Double Helix Gold. The only problem is that it has all gore removed because I'm using a diskless patch. (Don't know where my disk is)

Rise of the Triad, early Doom-era PC game.  Some age-rating system or other came out a couple weeks before it went gold, so the story goes, and they pulled the game back and said "We need to make it more violent so we can make sure we get into the highest category".  End result?  When you gib people, sometimes you get flying eyeballs and stuff.

Besides, how can you go wrong with a game that used live actors for its sprites.

I just remembered about Blood, another Doom-era FPS. I forget which engine it uses, Quake or Doom, but movement is fully 3D. It's not free, but abandonware(I think Monolith went out of business or something), so I can't fully reccommend it. The gore is excellent and the game itself is pretty fun.

Avoid the sequel though; it sucks and has a virus in it.

Blood uses the Build engine (same as Duke Nukem 3d). And while really violent (including decapitation, incineration, electrocution, gibbing and murder of innocents), it's still being sold at gog.

And I think Monolith still exists in some form. Last I saw them being associated with making FEAR and Condemned.

Not sure about the sequel. Lately started playing it. Personally I hate early full 3D games, but this is sort of ok so far. And it's got a kicking menu track.

I'm always hoping for a BloodRL, both blood 1&2's settings are so cool.

it still creeps the shit out of me if i play blood 1 alone

Toribash is always good for your violent needs.

Gonna second this.  There's a bit of a steep initial learning curve, but it's so hilariously OTT when you get to grips with it.

I've been playing it for a while. Every server has been fucking up for me so I don't bother anymore.
