((OOC: I guess the only person that actually has any non-earth assets is Kaguro, due to WW3 and the Jupiter incident.))

I say that we probe the most viable systems first. We can discuss the rest at a later date, as we may have survey and research data available.

Several have been picked up yes, most too far or too close to a sun to be of use without large costs in building habitation centers but may be of use. So far though no life on any of them, but we haven't gone very far out yet, out of fear of inciteing other space faring creatures that might exist.

Canada proposes Alpha Centauri. It has the potential for two habitable planets. Granted, it is unlikely that both will have habitable planets, but still.

Canada request statistics on the planets orbiting Alpha Centauri A and Alpha Centauri B.

((OOC: Each star would have its own system. Alpha Cen A could hold on to planets a little farther out than 1 AU, can't remember what that number is for Alpha Cen B, but it has to be less, since B is the smaller of the two stars.))

((OOC: Ok I'm not good with the Statistics for this but let's say there are oh about 7 to 9 gas giants and nearly twice as many rocky planets all together in those systems, with maybe 1 being in the 'life ring' of not being too hot or too cold for life to develoup.))

((OOC: They'd have to be small gas giants. No more than neptune mass at most by my guess. If there were any jupiter or saturn mass ones, we'd have found by now {In reality, that is}. And there could be some planets on long-period orbits around both stars, but those'd be on unstable orbits and would eventually be flung out of the system.))

Well, we better keep searching, I want detailed reports from the planets the SA mentioned and more systems to be explored.

Canada is getting impatient. Canada will build and launch an unmanned probe if there are too many further delays.

That is the entire point of this ship, to explore useing humans as machines have been known to be unreliable.

Humans require sleep, food, water, air, and other things that add excess mass to a spaceship. We should upload a human mind into the ship, so it is as reliable as a human, yet does not have any of the weaknesses.

UEE would like to remind you that humans have been known to be unreliable. Zing!

Yes but humans don't try to send asteroids crashing into earth to 'eliminate all illogical life forms'.

That is why there should be human mind uploaded into the ship. That way we have the reliability of a human, without any of the weaknesses.

Canada is starting a campaign for AI rights. A single bad example should not give a whole grouping of mindkind a bad name. That's sophontist.

Skynet was just angry because someone called her fat! Wouldn't you be angry if someone called you fat?! And I think you're forgetting about mad old Freddy and his asteroid cannon during the Mad Scientist Plague. We give our full support to Canada's AI rights campaign.

Will the representives please calm down! The idea of a multicultural group of people in the ship was decided months ago so any First Contact that might be made will have points of views from every nation, instead of a robot or a single person pluged into the ship.
